    Hello,

this has been a very busy week and it’s only Wednesday morning! I went to the office to work on Monday which was lovely and a great break away from the bedroom office. It cost me £7.70 for a train ticket and £5.90 for lunch but next month I will have free travel so that’s really exciting and I’ll take my lunch in. I won’t be going in too often.

Monday evening I watched the sunset by the sea it was amazing.

yesterday was super stressful, I have way too much in at work and between now and Friday I only have 10 minutes free time in my diary so I’ll be glad to have Friday off to do school uniform shopping with my daughter.

I sent a load of eb*y parcels this week and picked up a couple of things I had bought from Vint*d for my son. I am awaiting one payments to process around £28 and I need to list a few things this week as it’s looking bare on my selling pages.

I did a grocery shop yesterday so we have food to last to the end of the month and I still have £10.79 in my account - payday is on Tuesday (I also have money in pots for Christmas)

next month I am going to be back to proper budgeting

    jobs for today:
Get hubby to hang towels on line to dry
list fancy dress costumes on Marketplace
    post 1 eb*y
collect surplus bread from the bakers to share with neighbours

    have a good day all
    Nat

That sounds like you’ve done some excellent budgeting…food to last you, pots not touched and money left over! Well done you ⭐️

    Hi all,

well I’ve hit a bit of a milestone this week £10,274 paid off my debt that’s just about a third gone. In celebration I paid an extra £2.70 off my Monzo acct  :D

my next milestone is in December where I will be sub £20k

The end of August turned out to be a bit expensive due to the purchase of school uniforms eek. We are doing ok this month and I have been putting money away for my kids for Christmas.

I’ve also lost 5.5lbs recently so feeling a bit healthier.

The kids are back to school this week so looking forward to some routine and some peace at work in the home office. I am going in to work once a week too but I’m cycling now which is good exercise 30 mile round trip.

Speaking of work last week was much easier than the week before. I was looking forward to less meetings this week but by Friday afternoon my calendar was full again.

selling is still going well need to list some some more items I have almost nothing in my wardrobes now but the capsule wardrobe will work better for me I think.

Off to drop my daughter to the train station now, she’s been working at a festival in Bristol all weekend and then I have some grocery shopping to do and chores

    have a good day all

Well done Nat 👏👏. It’s always nice seeing the debt going down.
The schools uniforms certainly make it an expensive month.
oh and well done with your weight loss to, 30 mile trip on the bike you must be fit.
I have a full wardrobe but I seem to wear the same things all the time.
    Enjoy your day

    Hi

Haven't been around much, work is still taking over my life.

I’ve had a really difficult month what with the cut to UC and I didn’t get much of a payment this month. I’ve really struggled but I made it and today is payday. Bless soup for making a great cheap lunch and OLIO for free bread.

We’ve avoided putting the heating on and have been using blankets to keep warm and I’ve put up the door curtain to reduce drafts. We’ll be getting some cheap window sealing strip on the weekend to help reduce more drafts.

My daughter graduated this month, which was lovely and she is doing an MSc now so she just moved into student accommodation locally. I’m re-jigging the house so I can have a study instead of working in my bedroom.

I managed to pay off the smallest debt on my DMP I now have 6 debts and my MBN* debt has been moved to Wescott. So that’s 3 debts with management company. Next month my debt will be sub £20k

We’ve had a few odd jobs done around the house by our landlord, gutter are clean, boiler serviced, shower fixed and toilet now flushed, but it now flushes water out so they have to come and fix the new leak.

I have a day off today so I need to do a few chores:

    hoovering
    clean out bunnies
sort through food and make a list for shopping
    list things on eBay/Vinted/FB market

Hope everyone is good and I’ll post sooner next time

👏👏 to your daughter, great achievement.

i think the chancellor made some changes in the budget regarding uc, hope that benefits you.
You’re doing really well with debt repayments.
I feel for you in draughty  house, mine was like that when I bot it wooden windows and storage heating. I’m so glad I was in a position to change them. Is it a private landlord you have, they seem more reluctant to make improvements than council landlords.
    Have a nice weekend

My sister is in a private let, pays a lot of money for rent and she gets scared to report any issues as the landlord always says he’s thinking of selling up when she does 🤷🏻‍♀️.
