Hmm bad news.  From a Q&A on a vendor's site:

Q: Is the Cotherm TSE00187 shown suitable for a Heatrae Sadia Megaflo? I have one showing "T115" to replace
A: Hi, The TSE is not suitable for the Megaflow as they sense temperature form a different part of the stem, you would require a TSR00014, these are not available online. Only by phone.

Sorry Heely, it looks like you may have the wrong thermostat for your tank -- you need another TSR.  If you have a manual for the Megaflow, best to check what it says about it.

If you are lucky, the seller might exchange the current one for a TSR 00014 (if that's what it needs).
I will contact the seller and purchase the correct TSR. Especially as the temperature range is much greater.

    Nice one, @Heely 👍🏿
So with the TSR stat, your setting will be back down to what you had it on before -- not the 4.5 you have this TSE one on.

Well done everyone! My mains checks would  be with a neon tester, so just tracing live around.

@Heely if you ever have an electrician in, get  them to look at that 32A MCB.

You were right and I was wrong about 240V across the stat so apologies for that
