Morning all
Another £3.00 approved on prolific so £2 to go and I can draw it outI am posting my high value ebay item today so hopefully the funds will be released on Monday/Tuesday.
Finally got somewhere with the PPE claim (kind of) Financial ombudsman have sent me the letter from EL which states that the premium was £98.00, however refund letter states that I paid £47 (not sure how as the policy was never cancelled) so my total refund is £69. I am at work ATM and have been on hold for 18 minutes so far to speak to someone about this. I think they do this on purpose so you give up and just accept the lower payment lol! I will persevere for now but I am tempted to just sign the bloody letter and get my £69 back!

Bit of a spend aftenoon after work but I did set a budget of 35.00. Bought a new mop bucket, some wax melts, sponges and a bubble bath for £11 from home bargains. I bought us all new tooth brushes last sat from b&m and stupidly left them in the checkout but I called up today and they said they had them to one side so picked them back up
popped into next and boughr my mum a set of three jewellery trays for her birthday, and a lovely little pen in the sales at 70p for me out of my voucher so no spends there. Called to sports direct and bought ds2 a new pair of Nike trainers, he's outgrown two pairs so got these to get him through the holidays, the ones we bought a month or so which cost 60.00 are quite difficult to get on. These have a little velcro strap and we're only £22.00, he's had these before in a smaller size so I know there comfy on his feet.
Going to give his old ones a clean and get them on ebay tonight and do my food plan for next week ready for tomorrow's shop x

Food shop done and managed £60 this week
I put this on the Cc and will pay off in full on Wednesday when I get paid out of the grocery budget. I did have a bit of meat in the freezer so think that's why managed to keep it down this week but did buy a few bits such as a game for ds2 so quite pleased with that.
Ds2 went back to footy tots today which he really enjoyed so that's 20 a month back on the budget from the 1st but he gets a free kit as its standing order. I accepted the life assurance refund and they have emailed back to say I should have the refund by the end of next week so that will go off one of the Cc. X have a nice weekend everyone xPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.224 -
Hello to anyone out there,
Not much to report money wise today other than a prescription spend. I've not been feeling very well for a few days now, ive had a covid test which has come back negative so my GP has now prescribed me some antibiotics. Massively behind on my dissertation and work is manic atm so I have applied for EC until November. Hopefully that will be approved and take some pressure off geting that done too, I've got a zoom with my tutor at 7pm tonight to discuss.
Othet than that it's curry for tea tonight, I've just done a PA for 2.50 with a 4.00 bonus so that was good and I've got a few items on ebay xPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.225 -
Sorry to hear you've not been feeling well, hope the antibiotics work.
🤞 you get the extension, it will help to take a bit of pressure off you.
Take care x4 -
No update on the EC as of yet, my MSE club switch £25 cashback was paid yesterday though which I wasn't expecting so quickly
Payday was yesterday, I have gone through my YNAB and managed to clear my lowest balance CC in full, pay a good chunk off of the other smaller balance and £250.00 off of my highest (thanks to my high selling ebay items) I am going to look at getting some totals together to keep me going

Good morning all,
Had an odd couple of days including a big spendy day yesterday, it was my mums birthday though. Out area went into lockdown Thursday night so my childcare was out of the window and I ended up working from home. I have had a rough few weeks at work as we have been making redundancies, including my mum.
Was my mums birthday yesterday were we had planned a bbq that was then cancelled. The presents were great as I had bought her one for £17 in the sale a few months ago and the second was from my next voucher then offered to take her for a meal on Monday (would of been eligible for government discount). There has been grumbling that my area might be closing resteraunts also so decided to treat her yesterday instead £62 later (which tbh isnt bad for what we ordered). We then went for a big walk in the woods to burn some of the food off as I was absolutely stuffed!
My Cc has screwed me slightly as I had overpaid on all my payments by quite a large amount, my Ynab was down to 0 then the dds were taken again yesterday so I am now minus £170 my budgetPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.223 -
Had one of the best weekends in a long time, which I deffo need after the last few weeks. Today has been so simple but brilliant, did the food shop came in at £67 so still under budget. Came home made bacon /sausage bagels for everyone, put shopping away and did a little tidy. Put washing on, had a little nap (can't remember when I last did this and it was amazing lol) made beef casserole and veg for tea, went to set off to the laundrette as didn't think washing was going to dry in time. Changed my mind stuck it on the line and we all went for a walk around a local resovoir for a few hours. Much better use of time!!
came home tea was cooked and then have lit the candles and I'm just heading in the bath! Hope everyone's had a fab weekend x

Woke up dreading looking at the bank today, thankfully I had budgeted my EDF in both July & August so I am actually only about £20 £40 out, I can cover this through my savings if I need to but I'm waiting on some refunds so hopefully they will come through in time. Plenty of parcels to post today for ebay but other than that it looks a lovely day I'm going to try get loads of washing done (as always) it's never-ending atm x
