that's just excuse making defeatist BS.
Wales is a huge country and has lots of bikers. & because just over 1 a day takes a tumble, you're dismissing it as a mode of transport to get to work.
Come on TD, you're making yourself unemployable with an attitude like that.
Do you think that Vlodik from Warsaw would say 'sorry boss, I can't take the job because I can't get here on time' or do you think he'd say 'is there somewhere secure that I can park my bike and can I start on Monday' ?0 -

( ok i will agree there are probably a few who dont want to work , but no where near everyone )
yes i do.
im not saying anyones gonna walk into a cushy number, but theres part time work, places always need cleaners, whats wrong with knocking on peoples doors and asking if they need there grass cutting or garden tidying? any rubbish taking to the skip? anything to get a bit of pocket money, ok its not gonna pay the mortgage but it will give you a bit of confidence and self esteem.
as someone said, the huge amounts of eastern European workers didn't just come over here a get jobs by accident. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

It's not a bad idea, the motorbike thing but when you've lived around wales for most of your life and figures like:
"In 2005 there were 694 motorcycle casualties in Wales, and 539 in 2006, according to figures from Gwent Police."
only surprise because you thought they would be higher, I don't think it's a option that I will be taking up any time soon. It's not the jobs that are in difficult to get places btw, it's me that's in a difficult place
My job involves driving short distances around my local town, which apparently makes me more likely to be in an accident than if i was driving long distances, and on motorways, (i dont know how true that is but i'm sure someone on on MSE said that) i even had a car crash whilst i was drivig to one of my clients, I'm still doing the job though, I need money, I want to work and this job is currently the most convenient for me, plus i love the job and get loads of free training, just about to complete my level 2 NVQ in care.
You need to weigh up the pro's and cons, and i'm sure the pro's weigh out the cons.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

I've just gone back to work as a homecare worker after 2 months off for back problems.
If you have been uneployed looking for 18 months, you could have gone to college or something in that time, Why are the jobcentre not helping you more to get a job?
Are there really NO jobs? or is it just no jobs that you want to do?Basically they ask to see me every 6 months, I spend one and a half hours on a bus, they say- right you're still alive good, sign this- and then I check their little machines, and wander aimlessly around Llandudno before the one and a half hour bus ride home. It's a pointless ritual and everybody involved knows that the way things are done is ridiculous.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
