fred246 said:Have you checked the price of the radiator on eurocarparts.com? Put in your Reg No and type radiator in the search box. Then use the discount code SALE60. I have a big car and mine is less than £70. Mine went a few years ago. I was checking fluid levels prior to going on holiday at midday on a Saturday. Coolant was low. I traced the leak to the radiator and took it out. I had to find a eurocarparts with one in stock that opened on a Sunday. It was quite a drive but I was there when it opened. Put the new one in and we left at midday on Sunday. Hotel didn't charge us for the night. Very understanding of them. I remember saying to the wife you'd never get a garage to put a new radiator in on a weekend.0

But... do you want to change the rad yourself? Do you know how to?
Because, if not, buying the rad yourself is no use at all.0 -

You won't find many garages willing to fit parts supplied by the owner. It's for three reasons...
1. If the part's wrong, there's a large amount of fannying to get the owner to sort it. Meanwhile, the ramp is tied up with a dismantled car.
2. Liability. If the part fails in short order, they aren't responsible, but try telling the owner that.
3. Simple hassle value. The kind of customer who insists on trying to save a few quid like that is going to be a massive pita.1 -
Well update is the dealership I bought if off are now denying they gave me a 12 months warranty. They said becuase it had just under 12 months manufacturer warranty left there was no need for them to take out an additional 12 month warranty. So frustrated as I know they told us they'd give us 12 months warranty.0

You DO have it in writing, right...?0 -
No idea. I'm at work and any paper work is at home. I'm assuming I don't have it in writing as they are so confident saying they didn't give me one so if it was something specific they should have taken out and didn't then probably not.0

What a tricky part to find! Automotive part sourcing is my job - but even I struggled with this.
This is the parts diagram (assuming yours is a 2017, which would tally in with the dates given) - https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/190/no/26/1562/15599/94607/#8005
It seems the radiator isn't that easy to find, but if you can confirm the American market Edge (which is the same car, but offered in petrol format rather than a diesel) uses the same radiator, Rock Auto have them here:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2017,edge,2.7l+v6+turbocharged,3434543,cooling+system,radiator,2172
Rock Auto post to the UK for quite a reasonable rate.
Check out the width of your radiator dimensions vs those on the link above before clicking the magic button, but they look very similar.1 -
Thanks Matty for your hard work! Yes its a 2017 diesel. I'll check out the links0
