Just thought I'd say hello after that bit of a catch-up! Sounds like you've got your work cut out this weekend as always, and as always you make the rest of us (ok, maybe just me!) feel like big lazy lumps!!!

Hi Hypno, and all, Just a note to say hi. Hope its all going well. Socialising is good for you.! What will you do without your months work? Increase your bar work hours, or your clients?
I am still in the not sure I can work mode. I had to work longer hours this last week than originally planned as the assistant manager (who is is part time) went on holiday suddenly. I managed most of it, but had to do a full day Tuesday and it nearly killed off for Wednesday. I am hoping that assistant will be back this week, and that I can get my day back to the part time hours for the rest of the month. Occupational Health People are ringing me tomorrow at 10.45 to see how I am doing. (struggling is the word). Social services have pulled the funding for BBJ, so thats £150 a week loss to our income from this week. Really am going to have to start to look at everything from every angle then!!
Ah well. Its life I suppose.!!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Good afternoon - back from grading - DD passed, DS failed one element so has to re-take that one element in 3 months.

Needless to say he is very upset, but I have to say I am really proud of him because he has only had 6 weeks training because of the ski trip and has learnt a heck of a lot. there were kids there who have done 6 MONTHS training and still failed the same thing.

So, easy for me to say, but he needs to pick himself up and move forward. I think it is harder for him because DD had the same 6 weeks training and passed hers, so for the first time, is ahead of him.

Oh well.........to congratulate and commiserate (and because I am shattered) I am going to go and get a takeaway.............

(then I am going to do my essay :o )

  • Hi Hypno. I have just finished an assignment this week so I know how you feel. My mind becomes consumed with it when I have a deadline. I always leave everything until the last minute too and then kick myself for doing it. Good luck with everything xx
