Thanks -yesterday was good moneymaking wise, I suppose, but the good feelings were wiped out last night when the kids both missed out on the latest bursaries for skiing. Every time, I get hopeful, and every time my hopes are dashed, and it knocks me more than I think it will. Mind you, by now, I should be used to it!!
So, utterly deflated, I just went to bed last night and sobbed. Must get a grip!
So, today is another day, and payday (even though reduced for tax  ) is tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Rats! How dare they slight the little hypnos.
Do you know why they didn't qualify? Can you appeal/ask for reasons why they didn't qualify. Or is it just on parental income?CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Hello! Who knows what decides the bursaries! Whatever it is, we don't fit the criteria, obviously.
Maybe next year. I will just have to keep working my backside off to keep them skiing this year.
Ho hum!
Anyway, onwards and upwards!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
How disappointing about the burseries - and they are such deserving children! Can you research the criteria before next year and try again?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Not madness really I suppose - just lots of children all good at their sport with their own "reasons" for the bursary.
There are no particular official "criteria" for these, so not sure whether it is names in hat, "who you know", who can tell the best joke, or what! There is always next year, and perhaps the fact we received nothing this year gives us more chance of getting something next year.
On another note, HSBC rang OH again today to say his card is doubled its balance again! Complete bloody numpties at that place.........he got another £10 "compensation" for their incompentance though, so not all bad!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
