Talking of chicken - I've just prepared "Theunknownstuntsmens" Lemon Chicken for dinner tonight - smells loverly !!!!! and i've got sunflower bread in the bread maker and homemade soup for lunch.

Caught up with your diary as well hypno - houses can be a real drain or should that be pain and I can understand how easy it must be to get into debt trying to put it right. We were quoted £20K to do the outside of our house up, as the previous owners had had this stupid plasticy render put on the whole thing which would have been fine - if it had been done properly and the orignal render underneath had not started to crack ! - Of course once that happened the water got underneath and we ended up with all sorts of problems. DH and myself spend 6 months with blow torches and hot air guns burning the plastic render off before making good and repainting. Cost us a huge amount of time but saved us about £19K on the way.

Anyway have a good day with slice the pie !!!! I'm off to make an apple crumble

Ooh apple crumble, I was meant to make an apple pie earlier this week and didn't so I must use the apples up. Thanks for reminding me.

Well done Hypno - I am usually a lurker on your thread and it is truly inspiring. Keep up the good work.

Making my tummy rumble too. Having a NSD as son is at his Dad's -need to bake bread but realised I need to have something yummy or trying to work whilst bread baking smell wafts in from the next room would be silly.
So....jacket spuds are on-will be served with tinned salmon in a roux sauce and lashings of butter-really filling comfort food. Have banana bread in the breadmaker now so if the bread smell later gets too much (I'm working 3 til 8) I can grab a slice of that. so NSD and also NCD (no chocolate day)
I can proudly announce btw that I haven't bought a single loaf of bread since Christmas day and the arrival of my Panny and even the bread slicing is improving (a little ;) )

Well, spent a little more than expected in the supermarket but still under £30 and got a fair bit to last the week, so not toooooo bad.

OH starts work today at 3pm so I will use that time to have at least an hour or two of housework blitz type activity.........it is desperately needed!

I want to do another £1 on slice the pie so I can withdraw a fiver to paypal.
