Morning all! Boy am I tired this morning. However, skiing beckons for the children. I will try and do some more slice the pie when I am there. Mind you, I had the same intention yesterday morning when I was there and only did 30p........hmm!!

I hope you all have a good day xx

I'm thinking that between one-off opportunities like bingo and matched betting, plus the new job, you might well get to 40 debt free. You go, girl!

Just as long as those one off opportunities keep on coming!!

I could prob get to 40 debt free apart from the secured loan (currently £11.5k) which is the way I was working last year. But I want the whole lot gone in order to give maximum house buying deposit!!

I hope you enjoy your day with your friend,

    Morning all
I think the DFW experience is probably one of the hardest but most rewarding things I've ever done. It has taught me so much about priorities in life. I went from comfortably married with high earning OH to seperated, having a child diagnosed with autism and finding myself a full time carer not just for him but also for my Mum who had a brain anurism-in the space of a year. You don't know what life will throw at you along the way but we all find our paths and thank goodness for the example and support of others. We all have diferent reasons for DFW-dom, follow different paths and have different goals but there is NO reason why we can't all get there in the end -despite the odd curved ball fate throws at us.

Absolutely - at the end of the day, how we got into debt, whether by bad luck, stupidity or a mixture of both, we need to get ourselves out of it. That needs effort, and support, and MSE, but DFW in particular, is a fab place to motivate and support every step of the way.

Long may it continue......we will be here a while yet :p

Thanks, Hypno - and thanks to you and Duchy for this little section of your diary - its so true. At different times of my life, I've been really flush, and other times so hard up I walked home from work to save the bus fare. But the experience of the dfw community has made this time really different - I'm supported, I have options, I have much more control, I have lots of people who are in the same boat as me or actually much worse off, and the difference it all makes is staggering.

I got into debt by marrying my hubby......wonder if that was bad luck or stupidity.....:rotfl: :rotfl:

I loved the skiing video - my one and only attempt at skiing ended with a broken finger :o but I would love to have the nerve to try it again, it looks such good fun.

Oooh, I see your family debt total has gone down quite a bit (I'm such a stalker ), that's great, I know you really want to get that one cleared as soon as possible. :T

Hope you have a good Sunday. We are taking the kids swimming and then going to my Mum and Dad's for Sunday lunch. My Mum makes the best roast chicken ever, but I'm not so sure it will be diet-friendly! Oh well! :D
