Morning - no mud/chocolate/naked wrestling planned for today.
Instead I have to take the kids race training, will try to do a couple more mystery shops, and try and do some work that I have piled up this afternoon.
Moneywise I am aiming not to spend more than £2, by taking a flask of coffee with me when I am out, rather than buying from the coffee shop. I would like to have a NSD, but I am never any good at those, so aiming for no more than £2 is a reasonable alternative.

Right, back to business! Race training.... wow, those kids work hard. I was at the shops yesterday (extra Chrissie pressie for my mum) and just thinking about what you did with that extra £20 you had, buying the kids little bits and bobs when they didn't expect to get anything at all. A true Christmas - I bet they remember that happy/surprised feeling when they're adult, I bet that'll be a focus for them in 20 years when you're talking about their childhood.
Good luck with your £2 spend, hypno; mine will be similar: we're going to that ballet thing today, salad lunch beforehand (I'm providing the sweet, courtesy of Waitrose), my sister is driving us in, my mum has paid for the tickets, so I'll buy the programme, my mum likes to have those.
Have a good day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yes, the children were very happy to get those few bits on Christmas day and didn't have any hint of complaining that their present pile was pretty pathetic. I am very happy with the way that it went, and will not revert to buying masses of "stuff" just for the sake of it in the future, whatever my financial position is!
Have a fabby day today KC, I am sure you will enjoy the ballet.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

OMG! Didn't see your diary yesterday and was becoming a bit worried about all the naked / mud / chocolate wrestling. Not sure there would have been enough skin tight lycra in the world for me to join in!
Congrats on your pound coin find (I was just saying to OH yesterday how thrilled I get by simple things these days) and enjoy your busy sounding day!0 -
Morning Hypno sounds like you have another busy day ahead of you.

Hi you two!
Making the most of a quiet time at the ski club while the children are race training to do my online work - will get quite a bit done in the next hour or so I think so that is quite good - I have made myself a long list of jobs to do today. Quite how many of them get ticked off by tonight remains to be seen, but I can start quite optomistic if nothing else!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. hopefully not there again - the mere thought of me naked is enought to turn my stomach...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0
