I'm burning your cinamon melt!!
It's gorgeous- looking forward to an almond one after you've recouperated!!
I honestly had to walk out of Eastenders could not bare to see the happy family scene spoilt- I'm happy here in fantasy land :-)0 -
Glad you had a lovely Christmas, Sarah! You should sell your "left over candles", they sound fab even if they are as ugly as sin! :rotfl: I'd buy one, it would be like a lucky dip of smells!
I've got a confession to make.I was going to take some melts to my brother's with me when we all went there for Christmas dinner, but they're too lovely and I was a selfish mare and didn't, so's that I could have them all to burn myself. Karma will get me!
Do you have a scent of violets in your repetoire? And aniseed? Not together though, obviously!Althugh I know you're on holiday, so you don't have to tell me until after the 2nd!

Actually, thinking on, you really could sell them! You could call them something like Uglies and explain what they are so that people weren't expecting a posh looking thing! They'd be great for burning just on a day to day basis, plus having the added appeal of making sure none of the wax goes to waste! Plus, the more your business takes off, the more left over wax you're going to have.0 -
I hope you are finding time to put your feet up Sarah, you deserve it, my goodness you have been busy. I was lucky and got some of your biscuit and Christmas cake melts in my stocking, they smell so good, can't bring myself to burn them yet and watch all your hard work melt!, I make wedding cakes and I know how much time and hard work goes into these crafts,
Now there's an idea...melts like slices of wedding cake with a little wedding decoration on top, they would be nice as a thankyou gift to hand out, I would love to get one!!..... Also, as your biscuit melts are so popular, how about chocolate bourbons, how yummy would they be!!
Keep up your amazing work and have wonderful new year !0 -
I am on holiday but I'm still coming here lol so addicted! Good idea about 'uglies' it is a nice lucky dip of smells, no candle lit tonight, I have just slathered myself in my new 'ginger souffle' body cream and I smell gorgeous
didn't want to compete with a candle lol
Am being driven mad by the 'no wax' situation, have so many ideas I want to try, chocolate bourbons mmmm *adds to list*
Fleago, I have parma violets, is that close enough? And aniseed yes, love both those smells! Am thinking of a bunch of roses candles for valentines day, was going to make an option of parma violet scent, I hate the smell of roses, reminds me of old pot pourri, how does everyone else feel about rose?
I love the slice of wedding cake idea too, thanks Dragonlilythey could be used as favours maybe? Oooh and we could get together and I could make them to match your wedding cakes *squeals*
I have to order some silicone, need to make a ton of moulds, so will do that now. Current plans include... roses, mini nests (already have mini eggs to go inside), easter eggs, hot cross buns maybe, chocolate bourbons
Anyone else got some ideas they want to shareall ideas gratefully appreciated! Also feedback on current ideas is lovely
Thanks again for your nice messages, this thread is great for my self esteem hehe
Now I have to go and somehow invent a sewing pattern for a smurf, my children don't like to make things easy for me *grumble* wish me luck....."The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0 -
Yes, yes, yes!!
Parma violets smell is perfect!!! :T Aniseed too, That's me happy! I shall get in touch with you via email after you are "back at work" and settled down again, cos there's no rush for aniseed and violetty smelling things - just me being indulgent!
I really love the smell of roses too. As well as bunches of roses you could do Turkish Delight melts!
As for a Smurf pattern, the only advice I can offer is CHEAT! :rotfl:0 -
