I just noticed this thread today, and i've had a look at the site. I'll be placing an order as the candles look fantastic - but i'll let you get Christmas out of the way first. :D You must be run ragged!

Mine arrived today, they went to work, but I wasn't in, my partner brought them home for me and they are gorgeous, thank you Sarah.
The kids love them too and want more!
I'm busy burning half a christmas cake melt, yummy! The packaging was good on mine and all arrived in one piece.

I just wanted to say that I am sad that people have felt the need to share their issues with you on the forum before contacting you first, it's not very fair when you were inundated with orders at the last minute and I think you did amazingly well to get them all done and sent off.
Fair enough if people aren't happy they could contact you about it and then complain if you didn't respond or weren't very helpful.

Running a small business with my partner I know how it feels to be under that kind of pressure when inundated with orders at the last minute and wanting to please everyone and do your best, but one slip up or mistake and you can feel like you've done the worst job in the world, despite another 50 happy customers?

I'll be back in the new year for some more. Hope you can sit back and enjoy Christmas with your family for a short while.

    THanks again
  • The concept is lovely. The smells are lovely. Sometimes it is hard to say no and to overextend a new business. It looks as though this is what happened, at great stress, to Sarah and her helpers

re sharing issues on open forum. Why not? The site was posted on open forum

    Same Here!

  • Well, I got mine, despite the postal strike, so thanks Sarah :j

Ibought the biscuit and cake melts and even though I haven't melted them yet, the living room smells of biscuits :D

I post loads of items on Ebay, and sometimes despite my best efforts, some customers aren't 100% happy, so I take their comments to heart, and try to get it right next time, which I am sure is what Sarah will do

Thanks for all your efforts, Sarah, and good luck in the New Year, I'm sure lots of us will be back again :santa2:

Think of the critisism as constructive and not destructive :) I think you have done magnificently as no doubt you had hits form other sites too not just MSE and it can happen that one mention on a forum can really throw trends in sales. Bearing in mind a lot of these are custom made products (with the scents I mean) then I think keeping up must have been a monumental undertaking.

When you have had time to relax a little I'm sure new ideas will flood in and I'll certainly be keeping an eye ;) I'm still on the lookout for some gifts to mine and OHs mum for our wedding instead of a bouquet of flowers (not practical in our case....) so will see what great ideas pop up on the site in the next few months :)
    Best of luck to you!

Got mine from PO yesterday and they are so lovely, very special. A couple did take a bit of a bash in transit so maybe a bit of bubblewrap would help GOODFAIRY? The smell is yum, they are in my room waiting to be wrapped and are smelling the place out. My DH keeps wrinkling his nose in that kind of way he does to show he's too manly for girly smells:D
Thanks for the idea Nikki and hope my recipients love them as much as I do. Will definitely order again.

    Merry Christmas,
    Hayles
  • Shhh about the freebies, I ran out of those on the last few orders :/ hehe

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Was feeling so despondent last night, my tummy was churning, I thought 'It's all gone wrong!!'

But I feel a lot better now, have got it into perspective and yes it was constructive, so thank you for bringing the problems to my attention and I will work hard to sort them out.

Was very nice though to wake up to some nice comments this morning :D so glad you all like your stuff, I just went on to my guestbook and had lots of new messages that it hadn't informed me of, so an extra treat for me :)

Am finding it hard to type cos I'm watching Noel's Christmas Presents, gets me every year :'( back later xox
