Managed to get some washing on the line before we took the bike for its service but we’re 2 hours away from home and it’s raining so fingers crossed it’s not at home! Just sat waiting now. Little bit bored and can’t be bothered.

And in the end shopping came to about £55 and I forgot about £5 worth but I can pay for that with cash that’s in the car. Will go and get it at 9pm after My class.

@missymoo81 And did you get the maintenance yet?

I love hanging my washing outside! Sad but it’s my favourite chore 😅

Hey BlueGreen, mo, no maintenance payments. He’ll say he’s away with no signal as it’s just been radio silence since I last text him. At a loss at what to do.

Me and OH had a huge row last night, it’s happening a lot lately, I seem to be expecting to much of him and life...... even though it doesn’t feel that way to me. Ended up arguing for hours and am now exhausted..... not sure how we stand this morning. We’ve argued so much lately, OH says it’s because Of lockdown and how difficult life has been etc, I just see it as a divide that’s getting bigger.......

Anyway, did some washing yesterday and managed to get the towels clean. I didn’t go into Tesco yesterday but I did pick up the online shop, it came to £53.

Working at 4-5.30 but I need to program for the classes.

Going to do some washing and hang it up indoors as we had the storms this morning. So Foodwise, my new plan for this week is: (In no order)

    fajitas
    chilli x2
    chicken stew x2
    chicken curry
    burgers
    tuna pasta
    beans and jackets

Feel like I spent Too much but it’s to last until we go away on Saturday.

We’ve got fruit and pancakes or fruit and porridge or toast or cereal for breakfasts.

Bacon sandwiches or egg on toast or cheese toasties for lunches.

Been reading Thriftys thread and I’m thinking of getting a reusable razor. We go through a lot as I wear shorts a lot for work. And I have super sensitive skin so spend about £2 for 4 razors. Just want to make sure I don’t constantly cut myself though!

Managed to get some washing done, me and OH cleaned the whole house although I have a million loads of washing Still to sort and put away, and I need to sort out some cupboards as things keep falling out when I open them!

Managed to teach my classes ok and even did the workout, I really didn’t feel like it and if it wasn’t for OH I wouldn’t have done it, but I’m so glad I did! And OH treated us to fish and chips on the way home. Went to COOP to claim my free yoghurt as I got a code in a lid, I also got 3 lots of veg for 22p each, which is great as I needed some for the stew for tomorrow. And I got toothpaste and some razors as they were on offer and I haven’t quite decided on the reusable one yet. That all came to £3.50 which is great! OH paid too!

so home now and showered and about to sit and watch some rubbish on tv and relax a little bit.

Sorry to hear about the maintenance and difficult stuff with your OH, glad you got a bit of time to relax last night and hope things are feeling better today.

I saw Thrifyish's post about the razor too and am interested - let us know how you get on if you get it, I'm also a bit scared of cutting myself as I'm clumsy with things like that anyway!

I like the middle as well. Have you watched Modern family? Similar humour/ set up.

Sorry that you're arguing a lot. I have that too- my husband is a bit of a nightmare to live with/ but good overall. It does grind you down though.

    Hey Everyone

MASSIVE POST IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN! I'M SO CROSS

Ok So Ex has pretty much said he's not paying maintenance probably ever as he's probably going to be made redundant?! Honestly this man is a joke it is no wonder I left him!!!

So consequently I am a wopping £450 down a month!!!!!! I absolutely can not get by without it, and we're wanting to buy a house in 2 years time and without that taken into consideration, the type of house we want and need is completely unobtainable, and I can’t get the loan paid off before then as I won’t be able to meet the monthly payments. I really need to have a look at how I can make some more money. I honestly could scream and I feel so sick. I haven't even told OH yet as although were not arguing and were fine, he's super stressed and this will just make things so much worse. I would rather tell him when I have a solution!

So just cutting the shopping budget and selling things on Ebay and FB aren't really going to cut it long term..... I wondered about matched betting but that's more a short term thing, that I can't really put on a mortgage application. We have 2 years until we have paid off our loans and are in a position to buy the house we rent. I need a plan, do i cover the shortfall in the short term, by doing another couple of hours a week of personal training which would bring in half the amount, but its not consistent. Do i get a third job, which I'm not sure I can fit in around my current shifts, but I could look into it. Should I look into retraining to get a higher paid second job or change career completely as me and OH said we may sell the business  in a couple of years as it literally takes a piece of our soul every day (i'm sure any small business owner out there understands). An option in the short time is I could look at expanding my business, but due to the current government restrictions I am very restricted on space and it is very hard to keep everyone working well if there's too many of them. But I do need to look further into that as that may well be an answer if I can manage it better. Merchandise, I have been asked a lot about business branded jumpers and t-shirts, we do it for adults but not the kids and we make a 50% mark up on them, so that would be worthwhile, but I would need to pay the money upfront then recoup later......

So much to think about, am so worried about it, feel stupid that I'm sat here with brand new leggings and we're off on holiday to wales in a week...... But I didn't know I would be in this situation. We shouldn't spend much at all on holiday, just fuel to get us there and coffee for the journey (its 6 hours) and shopping for the week. But we're just going to go for walks and read books and drink tea!

So whilst I'm thinking about long term I will put into action the short term......Ill see if I can send the leggings back. I'm going to see if OH will pay for one lot of shopping a month (I typically do 3 big shops a month), don't think it crosses his mind that I always pay for it. (He does pay for any top up shops and all fuel for cats etc so it probably evens out, but I do need his help on this one).
I'm currently sat in the spare room surrounded by clothes, I'm putting washing away but as I'm doing it I'm pulling out things I can stick on eBay tomorrow. I'm going to cancel after school club for when the children go back in september as I don't need it, I did it more for me to have a break. I need to buy the rest of the children's uniform including coats. I'm going to have a look on eBay/FB for coats, and I'll sell their old ones and their old uniforms on there too. Another thing to do tomorrow......

I'm going to sit in a minute and see exactly how much money I need to live and pay off the loan etc and see what I can come up with.

Sorry for the epic post, it's just easier to write everything down, I've probably left stuff out and will add to this. If anyone has any tips or ideas or thoughts or just hugs they would be gratefully received.

    Much love

    Missy

What a piece of work your ex is! The costs your kids generate don't just go away once he stops paying, they just fall soley on you.

Sorry to read this @missymoo81. You're understandably very cross with your ex just now, but please don't make any sudden decisions about upping your working hours, changing jobs, or even selling items until you've had time to think clearly. Above everything else you have to take care of yourself and your own health.
