OK, worth it then if he'll end up spending £50 on breakfasts over the week!

Argh typed a lovely long post and lost it!!!!

@joedenise I buy OH bananas, apples, porridge pots and cereal bars, which all came to about £4 so that’s a pretty good saving of £46!

I will admit I also used to get the porridge pots gor me for ease rather than not eat at all. But I bought the sachets instead which were 72p rather than spending £2.90 on the pots. So that’s a good saving. I would have of course saved more buying porridge oats but this is a lot easier and means I will actually eat!

Had a crappy day. Got super soaked leaving lidl and didn’t have any bags and refused to buy any so it took ages to load the car and I was soaked wet through. Training didn’t go well today and OH was in an awful mood with one thing and another. But it’s evening now so at least I can sit down, have a busy day tomorrow.
  • You're having lots of ups and downs at the moment. Remember to make time for some self care x

Up early for work. Have more at 9 then I’m picking the children up., we’re coming home, we’ll make cakes or similar then go to the cinema. OH is off to the big city for an eye check up this afternoon but is hopefully fixing the brake pads on the car this morning. I’m back at work this evening. It’s a very bitty sort of day. But happy I get to spend it with the children.

Don't know which sachets you buy but I found the ones I bought actually took longer than making normal oats in the microwave!  They were convenient for when we were away in the motorhome but wouldn't use them at home.  It's one the few times I'd wished we had a microwave in the van!

Well I used the sachets for the first time. They took about the same time as the porridge pot. I prefer the porridge pot but it’s such a saving in cost I think I’ll stick with the sachets. I have some porridge oats, I will try adding some syrup or similar to see if I like the taste.

Have just sat down for the first time since 7am. Have done 2 hours of work, put some washing on, done the litter trays and fed OH.

Ok update, OH has managed to sort the brakes on the car and has gone to the city in if, it’s a good 3 hour drive each way so he won’t be back until tonight. I’ve hung up the washing and fed the children. I’ve been a real pig and gobbled up everything in sight it would seem!

we’re going to the cinema shortly, so Expensive at £20 but I wil park for free and take drinks and pop corn.

Cinema was nice, ended up having to go for dinner as wasn’t enough time to go hone. We went to mmorrisons and it came to £9.75 which I thought was ok. I managed to find some hair dye in B&M for £2.99. Here’s hoping it’s ok, and I scoured the shops for baby shower stuff but the choice was quite limited. So Amazon it is!

So me and the children have had breakfast and watched the bake off on catch up. I need to drop them off at 10.15 then home to write up a plan for someone. Then I need to be in work for 2-5.30, then my friend is coming round for pizza at 6. She’s bringing the pizza and I’m providing ice cream and pop. We were going to go out for dinner but this was the cheaper better bet!

I’ve got early work tomorrow so I need to program for that too. I’m so tired though. OHs alarm didn’t go off and he was over an hour late for some driving work he’s doing. So that’s not the best. Fingers crossed he’s not in trouble.
  • Can you try asking on local Facebook groups if anyone has any baby shower items to sell, or possibly even for free?

Hey @welshkitty85, I just ended up ordering it all on Amazon and OH paid. He will also pay for the tables and chairs and the rest I will pay for.

Have been really lazy, I was so tired when I got back from dropping the children off I went to bed and slept for an hour. But that means I am really behind on my work and my training. I won't have time to catch up today... I'm up early tomorrow so will get up, teach, work, then pick the children up and figure out what to do with the rest of tomorrow thats free and fun for the children to do!
