Hey @joedenise lovely to hear from you! Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday. We’re in Wales where in know it rains often, so it’s nice to be all snuggled up. Thank you for the skinny foods link, I think that’s ordinary syrup as opposed to coffee Syrup? I may be wrong. Thanks for the TK Maxx info though @dawnybabes just tracked it down online. I’ve got about half a bottle left. We have 2 TK Maxx’s in the city so I will try and get to one and stock up before mine runs out!

There’s a make called Simply on Amazon which is cheaper than monin. I’ve not tried it though!

Come down to Somerset. It's a lovely county and doesn't get as crazy busy as Devon and Cornwall :)

That sounds lush - i've deliberately avoided looking at Devon and Cornwall this year as the whole country seems to want to go there!

Have you visited the Cheddar Gorge, not done it myself but looks stunning on the photos.
Yes, I love Cheddar Gorge, it is stunning!  You can also visit the caves there and treat yourself to some cave-matured Cheddar cheese :)

Ooooh @jwil I’m very much sold on cheddar gorge! I will have a look for another holiday! And thank you.

I’m not used to doing nothing and I am finding it a little strange. Can’t help feeling lazy! Need to start scheming and planning, that will make me feel better. We’re going out for a walk today, despite the rain. Much tea will be needed after I think!

    Ok….

Because I have way more time than normal. I keep getting little ideas pop into my head to help with money saving and being more organised. So I’m just going to jot them down here. So there will probably lots of random posts, but then I know they are all in one place and know where to find them.

Any money saving thoughts on general day to day life are greatly appreciated!

Oh @WinterWarrior that is the syrup I usually get, just seems very expensive compared to £3 at TK Maxx. I might invest in a better thermos cup. Mine is only very small and I like BIG coffees. But I need to find a cheapish one. I used to have a Bodum one but left it when I got divorced 🤦🏻‍♀️. Mind you that is my only regret so we’re all good 😂. Will have a look on eBay/Amazon now.

Loving having time to chat and post, will check out your diaries too, as I’m very much behind. Feeing much more positive. Obv this is what I needed!

Our cups are all bodum…not totally leak proof for bags, but perfect for around the house. I’m a slow drinker and they save me throwing out countless half cups of the good stuff! I have found when replacing mine that the different colours are different prices on Amazon…last time I ended up with white, which are a bit boring, but were loads cheaper than the other colours. My dark green one is my favourite 😬

Glad you've got a holiday! And I always use holidays and time off work for plotting and scheming - all that free head space! I often wonder what excellent ideas I'd come up with if my head was free from work and normal things all the time

@WinterWarrior thanks for that! I’ve just got caught up looking at shampoo and conditioner. As I’ve found it on offer. I’ll get back to coffee in a minute 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I’ve mentioned on here before a long time ago, that I have a mass of curly hair (which desperately needs dying by the way, but that’s a problem for another day). I wash my hair around every 4-5 days but it doesn’t really grow as it tangles itself and is really dry. I think it’s slowly getting better. But I’ve found a really good shampoo and conditioner which is pretty much all natural which it really seems to like it’s the garnier banana hair food shampoo and I use the hair mask as a conditioner. Now it’s not cheap to buy full price, about ££5/£7 a bottle/tub. But I’ve just found Sainsbury have the shampoo on offer for £3 and Amazon have the conditioner on offer for £4. So I think I may stock up a little as it will save us ££££££’s in the long run.

the other thing I am trying to save money on is cat litter. We have VERY fussy cats and they like the corn cat litter. We’ve been buying an expensive branded one but I’ve just found one for half the price so I will order that and see how the cats like it. Have also found a different cat food too that lidl sell so hopefully that will also save some money!

    Back later with more thoughts.

Hey @Cheery_Daff thanks for popping by! I know what you mean. All of these ideas are flooding in and I wonder where they all go all of the other times in my head 🤷🏻‍♀️.
