Just to correct your Shell Energy calculation (assuming you don't instead to stay with Shell Energy forever):
£225.88 + £15 Cease Charge = £20.07 per month

Yes I found that out now, still cheaper than plusnet but not cheaper then talktalk but at least its 12 months rather then 18 months

My plusnet router stopped working around 2pm. Connected Shell router, took about 5 mins to pick broadband up and so far soo good. 
Thumbs-up for shell broadband so far

Usually when you switch providers current provider usually contacts you to say sorry your leaving. Strange 

Plusnet will possibly send you a prepaid bag to send your router back to them they more than likely refurbish them and send them out to another customer
