Hi all
Currently I am with plusnet fibre and line rental which runs out middle on next month. I phoned today said i am thinking of leaving and give them 3 provisers i was thinking on moving to but they didn't anything special worth mentioning. The rep seem quite happy for me to switch.
I have norrowed down to these 3
Shell energy fibre 12 months contract £22.99 * 12=£275.88 - £50 cashback £225.88 = £18.82 a month this is via moneysavingexpert
Talk talk via topcashback.co.uk
£23.50*18=£423 - £76.50 cashback
£19.25 a month
Virgini Media
Via moneysavingexpert 58mb
£23.99*18=431.82 - £100 cashback =£331.82 £18.43 a month.
I have used talk talk before and got cashback via topcashback.co.uk so thinking join them.
Not sure about shell energy and advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

Would any of these provider's mean a visit will need to be made ?
If they do then I cant see you being able to use the service you sign up for.
Martin covered what I mentioned on his last show.
What arent you sure about Shell Broadband ?1 -

Virgin Media runs it own cable network and you cant switch direct from Plusnet and other companies that use the Openreach network. So unless you already have a Virgin Media cable installed they would need to join you up from the pavement. But if you do go down that route its up to you to give Plusnet notice but at the moment it may be pertinent only to do this when your new line is up and running.1

Its between talk talk and shell. Probably thinking shell now 12 months contract. Not too fussed about phone line not working. Need broadband since working from home0 -
Decided to sign up with Shell Broadband.. 12 months contract... My plusnet contract end date is 12 June and Shell Broadband go live date is 12 June.
Hoping all goes well.
Shame plusnet didn't offer anything extra to stay with them.
Was hoping they try to get close to £19 or so instead of £22.99.

Shell emailed today that they are sending router. Go live date 12 June. Strange not heard from plusnet saying sorry your leaving.
Usually when you switch providers current provider usually contacts you to say sorry your leaving. Strange0 -
Good luck. Don't want to worry you but I don't think I received a communication from TalkTalk trying to keep me, and I ended with all sorts of problems which could be the result of a "split transfer". I am assuming Shell use Openreach so it should be smooth. Find my thread if you want to see how bad it can get.

£225.88 + £15 Cease Charge = £20.07 per month
