Hmm, any advice? I just did a MS for a store, and am 99% convinced one of the assistants sussed I was doing a MS, as soon as I asked about my enquiry.

I didn't give the game away, and acted completely normally. I spent 2 hours in total on the job (nearly1hr in store, and 1hr of travelling)... if I report my suspicions , what happens? What should I do? In all my MS jobs, I've never been in this situation before.

Oh god I hate this - only had it once when a gapburger manager followed me in to the toilets to ask if I was ok

I reported it as normal as they ticked all of the boxes. This is mainly because if I'd have reported it to GAP it would have been ignored!

I would report it to TNS - think about it logically, you've done what they asked on the brief and now when reporting back to them, you've decided to fill them in. They would be totally in the wrong if they decided not to pay you so I would think you'd be fine.

I really do sympathise with you though; I remember how I felt!

I had this with one of their electrical stores (which come to think about it have not been on in ages!!!!). I informed TNS because I did two shops on the same day and the first shop had rung the second shop to tell them what i looked like so they sussed me. I still got paid as usual, they had to re-shop the location, but I think that depends on the client etc. TNS will still pay you so don't worry :)

OMG, I just laughed out loud at my computer reading that!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek:

Thanks for advice. Will drop them an email to start with before I spend 30 mins doing the report in case they don't want it then!

Does anyone else mystery shop for them?
I have a big problem with them. They will not pay me for a job because they are saying the thing I purchased was not what they asked, even though I have proof in my assignment notes that they said to purchase it!!
    I'm angry and need advice.

Never had that problem, but I suggest you call them in the morning. If you've done what was said on the paperwork then they shouldn't withold payment.

Thank you, I will do. Just really annoyed because I followed exactly what it said in the notes.

They have an annoying habit of sending out automated replies, too. This can really annoy! Their staff should be friendly enough if you call them - let us know how it goes!

I wouldn't report it. Only because they'll probably bar you from doing this store again, because they'll know who you are. Depends of course, whether you want to do it again and how honest you are, of course.

It's a bit like one of those moral dilemmas that Martin puts in his weekly email.
