Maximising income - Mystery Shopping? Surveys? (Part Three)
Comments

Got sussed yesterday. I was doing a phone shop and asked for the guys name as per instructions...who up until then had been pretty poor...his name was supposed to be written on the paperwork he was supposed to give me, but the post it didn't really have an identified space for his name, so it didn't get written.
Suddenly when I asked for his name, I was offered insurance, broadband and all the other things he'd previously not mentioned. I just smiled sweetly as I left.
Just wondering what you all do when you know you've been sussed?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Go a bit red and try to continue the shop.... I haven't as yet been asked if I am the mystery shopper though, thankfully!
I wouldn't tell the MSing company you think you were sussed if I were you; if it was for GAP you'll probably just not get paid for it!0 -
i have not seen any p_ _ _ O _ _ _ _ _ _ 's on gap for a long time? hope they not lost them0

Does anyone know how to get the yellow fuel audits on Gap? I've done the certification test, but have never seen them?
Also, how do you get the coffee shops; do they just appear after X month's membership?0 -

No idea about the fuel ones, but as regards coffee shops, you have to contact Gap and ask to be put on the list as they need to send out special equipment to you. Email them :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: or next time they ring you to do an extra assignment, ask them then. We’ve had to remove your signature. I think they're realising this too!
There comes a point when not even the enthusiastic newbies do the jobs - I remember when I first started MSing I would take any job, no matter what the pay!
Absolutely. I've now suddenly had these jobs appear to me and I'm not going to do them.
I looked at the fee and for the hassle that you guys say you go through, the problems once you've asked for a receipt and the chance of possibly not getting paid over the smallest of negative comment, I think I'll give those ones a miss!
Just a though though regarding asking for a receipt.
I was doing a job yesterday and went into a burger shop as a normal customer. I didn't have any cash on me so asked if I could pay on my debit card, which they said I could. It was only for £4.99. I obviously got a full receipt with this, it had dates, times and the person who served me.
This was the joint that I think RE cover, so I'm not sure if the chicken one and the other one GAP do would let you pay this way?0 -
I have edited the post now.
It is hardly a secret who they do work for, search Gapbuster on google and you don't even have to open the results to find out.
I was looking for help not smart comments why would MSE worry about what Gapbuster thinks?
It is part of YOUR own contract with the MS companies that you do not divulge the names of their clients. THATS why you shouldnt mention them on here. Nothing to do with what MSE thinksWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
