any1 here receive a phone call for a mobile shop this morning? Then later receive and E-mail with a higher fee for the other sites you were offered? Do they ever give you the higher fee if it changed within an hour??I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0

Not sure if this is a record, but a mate of mine was rung on Saturday with an urgent job for a chicken place on Sunday (yes, Easter Sunday) and offered a £30 bonus!! Funnily enough he accepted!0

Yes it was.
Well we shall see, hopefully it will be ok. I didn't cooment in the questionnaire that there were not any cards available as there wasn't a question relating to it, just one asking whether a printed quote was received. In hindsight I could have put it in the additional comments at the end couldn't I?0 -
You did well to get 4 only 10 mins away. I did a 4 job day but had to go 35 mins away. I too found that there is quite alot to remember! My travel job was not worth it as I was in there an hour! (I wasn't given a card but just swiped one off the desk). Keeps ypu on your toes though and all good practise...
It was more by lucky coincidence I think and they were for 3 different companies, all came up at different times over a week period.
I do live in a good area for this sort of thing though. I'm in a big town with several other big towns all 10mins drive away in each direction. It's the parking when you get there that's a pain.
I worked out I wasted 1/2 parking and then 1/2 waiting for one of the shops to open as they were short staffed and closed for lunch 5 mins before I got there!0 -

Nice one!
So what's the worst you've been offered?
Mine was an urgent computer shop 120 miles away. I wasn't offered any additional money at first so I explained the distance involved. Then he tried to twist my arm with an extra £5, and seemed shocked that I wouldn't accept?
It would have taken about 5 hours for the round trip, plus 240 miles worth of petrol to earn £10 :eek:Here I go again on my own....0 -
I thorght we were not suppose to talk about fee's.
On the same kind of topic, how do you go about asking for more money for urgent jobs - do you just say I want a premium or do they offer it. I had a call once for an urgent job & was not even offered a bonus.0 -
I agree with the people about the office. I once used to spend sometime here but I have not come back to a whole host of things one of them is the discussion of fees. I find it disgraceful that some people are here discussing fees. This disucssion is not allowed there. One of the other things I like is that you can have discussion on a wide range of issues and you don't have to become nasty.
I do join in here but not with mystery shopping threads.
I thought I would come here and see what the discussion was about here.0 -
Repeating my previous post slightly, is there any chance of getting the fee put up after you have already accepted the job? The fee for the job I accepted over the phone went up within an hour??I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0

Have you asked them? (Nicely of course!!)
They can only say no and I can't imagine they are just going to offer. Don't ask don't get! (Sometimes you ask and still don't get, but worth a go!)0
