No, they only pay a fee (and any reimburment for purchases made).
Travel money has to come out of your fee

You can claim your travel back as a tax-free allowance when you do your tax return, which may mean that you make a loss (on paper).

For example (all amounts are made up)

    Fee for job £6
Return mileage for job = 20 miles, at Inland Revenue rate of 40p per mile
    Print costs 60p
    'Profit' from job = £6 - £8.60 expenses = a loss of £2.60.

    Next job

    Fee for job £6
Return mileage for job = walking next door (which is what the MS companies like to assume we all do :rotfl:)
    Print costs 60p
    'Profit' from job = £6 - £0.60 expenses = a profit of £5.40

    Profit for week = £2.80
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Hi Sherry, not quite sure what you mean about the "prequals" - if you mean the little box with the question marks that asks you whether you like fast food or have worked for this company before etc., then yes, you have to answer those first, because it won't let you choose a date for the job otherwise.

Anyone got any idea as to whether Gap might put those missing fuel and stamp place jobs on soon - wonder if they work Good Friday? They better not have stopped doing the latter, or my holiday spends are going to be severely curtailed!:D

Sorry, might be being a bit dim but still not quite sure what you mean by "prequals" - is it like the virtual tour & familiarisation etc? If so, then no, I don't think so, if it will let you take the test regardless, but I always do them just in case, as you only get 3 goes to get the test right, so I reckon it's worth it.

    Hi all,

I did a couple of jobs for React Surveys and am wondering if their payment is just the amount stated or the amount stated PLUS the reimbursement for purchases?

The reason I ask is that they're paying £x and they say that I can spend up to £x on the purchase - the amount is the same for both and the wording's ambiguous so I wonder if somebody could confirm?

The visits were for an ice cream shop.

You will be paid the fee and your reimbursement for the purchase, up to the amount stated.
You are correct that it is ambiguous, however to the best of my knowledge they do pay fees and reimbursements for all assignments.
Remember to fill in the the product purchased section of your invoice with the amount.
  • Ok need help!!!!
The MS sites i have signed up to offer £5-£10 per assignment, but condisdering most are 10 miles away, is it worth my while to do them and have to declare my (what willl be very small) earnings? Im confused as to how people actually make money if you take petrol costs into account
