I have a couple of purchase/ reimbursement jobs now...toy and convenience shops. Am I correct in thinking as long as I purchase what is specified I can keep the remainder? ie. 5 items as specified up to the value of £8 reimbursement. So I plan to buy 5 different items to the value of about £3 and keep the £5 not spent. Does this make sense?
At one of the supermarkets you have to spend the full 8 pounds, in the other (the one with the promotions) it states in the instruction that you heve to spend a minimum of 4. In the toy shop you can spend as little as you like (and there is no reason why you can't take things back for a refund );)

You do your mystery shops in the nude to save on clothing?

  • Gap seems to have quietened down now after a very busy (therefore slow) evening. I've selected my 5 assignments, but wondered when a new 'day' begins to select some more? Are they on US time?

Don't forget though, if a job for gap tells you to spend UPTO and not a minimum you will get the full money allowance shown. But remember, if you were told to spend upto £5 and only spend £3, you will get taxed on the other £2 as it is then classed as profit. Hope thats right. I'm sure someone will shed extra light on this.

edited because the post I quoted has been deleted & the member I quoted is no longer a member.
  • i did i give a report in about a kfc and got sacked by gap becos they said i was lying

They probably sacked you because of your appalling spelling and grammar.

I have completed numerous 'bad' reports and have not been sacked.

xxx look at this site for links

If you are a mystery shopper for such a long time you should know that you have just breached the contract you signed ... as you are not allowed to mention clients (or fees).
  • Or in fact not allowed to ask "who does xxx company".
  • hi folks a little bit of advice required.
I have done my quota of five assignments for gap for the month(im a newbie)
but loads of jobs have come up in my area and i know for fact nobody is taking them.
Do you think there would be any point in phoning and asking them to waive the five job rule so that i could do the assignments, and thus do them a big favour:D .
By the way anytime i do phone i get a fax machine noise or an internet noise i havent got through yet.
Is there anumber i should be ringing that i dont know about.
    Thank you all
