Apparently the woman who started the clapping thinks it should now finish and wants next Thursday's clap to be the lastToxicWomble said:As for going on holiday during lockdown - stop being silly - you sound like one of those idiots that I DONT want applauding me every thu nightIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1 -
Good, the whole thing has just become an excuse for people to outdo their neighbours with noise and to post videos on social media. "Memememememe!"lincroft1710 said:

That Will Hislop twitter video about the door-step clapping did make me laugh.
He's right, it has turned into an element of virtue signalling, rather than its initial supportive purpose. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
This is what I have been trying to suggest - go on holidays while on furlough and not use the annual accrued leave so that I can use it for October or November when I am back in the office . In this way I will 'save' itSoot2006 said:Many companies are asking staff to take a certain amount of annual leave while on furlough anyway so they don't end up with empty offices 5 minutes after everyone comes back (+ other budgetting reasons). If you're accruing annual leave and not being asked to take it, thank your lucky stars as you'll still have it available.0 -
You honestly think you wont be back in the "office" until October? What is it you do?1

Employers are asking employees to take holiday during furlough so that they are available for work after furlough - not so that employees can 'save' the holidays for later. It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.0
