Interesting comment. On the website I'm looking at, both Spain and Italy figures are higher than the UK. And so is Belgium. And surprisingly, San Marino is the highest with 41 deaths over a population of 33,923.

We also received this email yesterday, which now states that you can "move your holiday for free and pay the outstanding balance later".
However we are currently due to travel at the beginning of August, so we have already paid the outstanding balance, as the repeated emails chasing us for the money were threatening to cancel our holiday and so we would lose the deposit (of over £1000) which we were not prepared to do.
So, does anyone know, if we now go and move our holiday for free (which we couldn't do before) will they refund us our "outstanding balance" amount, to be repaid nearer the time again. We were taking my mother away so think it would probably be better to move the trip to this time next year, but I don't really want them to sit on over £4k of our money for the next 15 months, as a lot can happen in that time.
Thanks!

"Hopefully - by allowing customers who want a refund to apply online (but only if you already have your refund code), it may reduce the number of calls."Does it apply to both online and store bookings ?I got the impression it's for the former, not clear on the latter though. It will reduce the amount of calls - TUI appear to have reduced the 'phone in time window to 5:30pm from 7pm.Here's the link - https://www.tui.co.uk/destinations/contact-us/pre-travelIn theory, if this applies to both types of bookings, then it should eliminate the need to call in, although without TUI releasing the refund credit codes more quickly this will continue to be problematic.

Just received my refund from tui.
Was from coronavirus cancelation march 21st.
So since they updated the refund regulations yesterday, my refund went in to my bank same day.
So hopefully you all get your refunds soon1 -
I moved my June holiday to the same time in June 2021. No they do not refund the money paid. It is just moved to the new holiday. I did this before the 20% incentive was offered and we have around £120 more to pay but not until nearer our new departure date.RiaMaria said:We also received this email yesterday, which now states that you can "move your holiday for free and pay the outstanding balance later".

Incidentally, I had a holiday in April cancelled with Tui. I received my RCN plus 20%. Having read of the difficulties in contacting Tui by phone I hadn’t done anything. Now I’ve had the email regarding online refunds, I have filled in the form and supposedly I will be refunded to the original payment method (credit card in my case) within 4 weeks.0 -

In my opinion the USA will open up normal flights quicker than any other country when the politics suits. I hope so. Going to Miami at the end of October.0
