If you have read it, it will not show up again unless you scroll up. If you haven't read it, when you click on the thread it will take you to the first unread post. But it does, and I do need it.
I am not talking about the new post button. There are blue buttons against posts on the menu which have not been read, they are marked "new", but sometimes they are not there. Perhaps they are not there on your screen.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Usually if they're not there then either a) you're not logged in, or b) there are no new posts in that thread since you last read it.
As regards login ... I found I had to do that this afternoon - on the same laptop. I was looking at the forum, turned off my VPN to the company, then browsed more in the forum. At that last stage I got logged out and had to login again. I'm guessing that the change in IP address made the forum log me out.2 -
When I go to the index page in the morning it shows me all the threads with new posts, sometimes in excess of 20. I click to read one, then click back to the menu, and there are no new posts showing. I log out and log in again and there are all the new posts again. This started yesterday morning.
I suspect that this is a gremlin in the software.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
