I noticed that. I don't know if it is permanent or just another glitch caused by the many *cough* improvements being implemented.
On it's own it has no intrinsic value, but it is useful to see if a poster is well established on the site, and not just this forum either. It is meant to infer someone has written a useful post, so theoretically, the more thanks a poster has received the more useful information they have posted is implied.

Agree it is a useful tool for regulars and newbies.   If they take any more away, it will become a very basic site

Agree it is a useful tool for regulars and newbies.   If they take any more away, it will become a very basic site

It's back. Presumably MSE Towers believes this function does serve a purpose and is needed.

It has not been reinstated on other parts of the forum where it has been removed since the upgrade. Presumably this means that MSE Towers think a Thanks button is important on this forum but not so important on others.
