You don't learn all about plumbing overnight or by watching a boiler being fitted. You pick it up over time, lots of practice, some mistakes, by reading a lot & nowadays watching lots of YouTube.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Unless you're gas safe registered which clearly you aren't then you shouldn't be removing the cover from the boiler.
So what you actually need need is someone to come in an fit the combi. Following that you will do ever else?
I don't expect they'll be too happy with you standing over them all day watching.
What's the difference between plumbing a water pipe to a radiator and plumbing a water pipe to a boiler?
I said I'd try and learn as much as I can while they're giving me a quote. I won't stand over them watching them work.0 -

1. If a new gas line is required, don't run it yourself, the installer should do it. If using the existing gas line, leave it to the installer to cut into it at an appropriate point and run the line from there to the new boiler.
2. Leave the installation of the boiler wall plate to the installer so that he / she can be sure it is adequately supported.
3. Leave the flue to the installer.
4. The condensate drain is part of the flueing arrangements. Leave it to the installer.
5. Be prepared for the installer to charge you for any time he / she spends in excess of budget fixing any problems in work they haven't done.0 -
-Radiators are all way too smallHave you worked out how many BTU's they are and what you actually need for the room? Are they all hot, top and bottom?-Immersion heaterThey take up space but are great when the boiler breaks down and you still have hot water.

I've replaced them all now with bigger ones and decent pipework that doesn't leak.0
