It's very rainy here today, can't remember if I've mentioned it but I have carpal tunnel in both my wrists- I'm waiting on an NHS referral for nerve conductivity testing to see whether I need surgery or the injections as it's pretty bad (It's from damage done by one specific student in the awful school I used to work in- constantly twisting my wrists and fingers and bending them backwards 5 days a week for 18 months)
The pain tends to get worse in the rain and cold so they're aching something fierce today.
Bottom line;
£49k paid off
Car HP paid off
Debt Free!
Saved Escape fund and moved out.
Current focus; saving Emergency fund3 -
Kakiste that sounds horrific! Can you claim damages or something? XXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Wow that sounds dreadful can you make a claim ? No one should have to put up with that treatment xx2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Honestly- that is nowhere near the worst thing that happened to me in that school. It wouldn't make top 20.
I could do; but they have form for being incredibly vindictive (they've gone after people's QTS in the past; when ex-staff have taken them to court for injuries sustained at work they've 'suddenly' had students (ones who have moderate learning difficulties and either could be easily convinced or wouldn't be able to remember saying it/not saying it) make allegations against that staff and then reported it to the police and to DBS. It happened to a friend of mine and she was suspended from her new teaching job for nearly 10 months whilst they investigated the allegation- she had to wait nearly 2 years to find out whether the DBS board were going to uphold the complaint and remove her right to teach in the UK. So as much as they cut and dry are a terrible awful management, I don't want to rock the boat and risk my career now I've got a wonderful school with great management that I love working in.
Tbh- I'm just pleased it's something that the NHS can fix- when I initially went to the doctors about it, they told me it was cartilage damage and nothing could be done.Bottom line;

So excited! Heard back from the bank- have been repaid £6500! It's already in my account!
The breakdown is slightly confusing and I actually think that the £6.5k is 'only' from my personal loan and that the money from the credit card is yet to come through.
I'm very excited! I think I'll leave it a few days to properly consider my options before a make a move (as well as to ascertain whether there is a final payment coming)
First thoughts are to pay £6k off the DMP taking me down to just under £3k and add £500 to my EF (taking it to £1100) but I need to have a think.
Very happy 😄Bottom line;

Boo for the old school and your poor wrists and fingers, hope you get treatment soon. YAY for the repayment, such amazing news, especially if there's more to come! Really happy for you ❤01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Don't forget to reclaim any tax they've taken on the interest - there should be a breakdown in the letter they send you. I just filled the form in on the HMRC site for DH's interest back - you need gross and net figures but its all itemised in the letter so easy to do and takes a few minutes. Its only just over £80, but its a cherry on top"Think of many things, do one"

I’m a long time reader of your diary and occasionally post but I had to de-lurk to say I am so pleased about the payment you’ve received. That is amazing news and takes you so close to being debt free. You’ve worked so hard to get to where you are you really do deserve so good news xxslowly working towards being MF one small over payment at a time :T1
