    I was worried that it was going to something like -£100 given that we've had it on every evening for the past few months so I was pleasantly surprised that it's in credit. They're suggesting I alter my DD down but I want to build up the excess. Plus it's 3% interest on balances up to £1000 which is better than any of my savings accounts!
    Bottom line;
    £49k paid off
    Car HP paid off
    Debt Free!
    Saved Escape fund and moved out.

  • Hahaha that is better so I'd be the same and keep paying it.

    Getting there with the deadlines! One more day to go.
    My daughter's school has an inset tomorrow so she's gone to stay with my dad (in my childcare bubble) overnight tonight so he can look after her tomorrow whilst we're both at work. She's super excited- because he lives relatively close (45 minutes away) she's never had a reason to stay over there. She's super excited! She usually has 'sleepovers' with my husbands family fairly regularly (my inlaws and his sister and her wife) but due to covid and all of them having medical issues she's not stayed anywhere else overnight since January 2020 so I think she's stupidly excited about the change the routine! :smiley:

    Holidays! Laughably cold here yesterday so didn't go out with the kid. Will have a quite jaunt out to the local park this afternoon but whilst it's warmer the wind is gusting hugely so i dont think it will be pleasant to be out for long.

  • The debt is coming down nicely.  In the £17ks next month. Sorry your husband is being so difficult but good that he has got over his latest tantrum.

    Indeed! In fact ive not touched my rolling £200 EF so far so there may be a chance it goes into the £1700s at the end of this month.
    He's sorted himself out now and has actually been very nice this weekend which is unusual for a holiday.

    Actually broke into double temperature digits for the first time this year today so have been for a walk on the beach. Very nice.
    Looking forward to spring- I hate the cold weather and other than Christmas would happily write off November through February.
    Using up some of the insane amounts of sausages from food group that are sitting in the freezer by having sausage meat in yorkshires with onion gravy for tea with a bunch of veg.

    I was so surprised when we went out for our walk and Alexa said 12 degrees!!

    I normally actually love winter but I don't feel I've been able to get any of the benefits of it like doing fun Christmassy stuff or nice winter walks and wrapping up in my favourite coats etc. It's just felt like a bit meh. Can't wait for March when my garden plans starts to take off...

    Me too! I'll happily take mowing all the lawns back as a weekly job in return for being able to sit in the garden again.
