    Paid today and £540 gone towards my debts. I've updated my signature accordingly- nice to see the numbers going the right way in both directions.
    I've rejigged my bank account as well so currently have pots dividing it up into;
    Main
    Emergency Fund
    Childcare
    Groceries
    Fuel
    Entertainment
    Child (to cover clothes/shoes/pocket money etc)
    Child's birthday party/present savings
    Christmas
    I've set up the Christmas and Child's birthday savings during June- today has been the first time I've put money in them so they currently stand at £90 in the Child's birthday one and £60 in the Christmas one. I'll keep on adding bits to them through the month as I sell things/survey and then adding a chunk each payday and then after sprog's birthday in September all the money I would have allocated to her birthday fund will go towards Christmas instead.
    Currently after everything is divided up and allocated into the pots I've got £52 left in my main account to account for unforeseen expenses or any overspends. I'll endeavour not to spend it and then transfer all that's left to my EF on the last day of this month. Yesterday I still had £38 in there so the system is clearly working.
    Bottom line;
    £49k paid off
    Car HP paid off
    Debt Free!
    Saved Escape fund and moved out.

    Current focus; saving Emergency fund

    Awesome work! Dividing up money into useful pots is great, I find it really helps me not overspend (I always feel "poor" because I only carry about £150 in my main balance but in reality my account has £3k in it!) Hope you manage to make some money this month to boost your savings!

    I'm another one who uses lots of pots for different things but keep all the money in my current account as it earns more interest there than in any of the savings accounts!

    I really wish I'd found this method years ago rather than only a couple of years back!  It certainly seems to work.

    I’m trying to work out how best to do pots too. I think Your way is good Kakiste! How’s the sewing going?

    Alright thanks. :smile: I've ordered some more padding yesterday when I was paid which I'll be able to turn the rest of the material I bought last month into stuff. Because I've already covered the cost of the new fabric by selling two orders last month, the additional 2-3 worth of new order would be entirely profit. Each one should sell at £30-40. I also have two additional smaller projects to sell which are the scrap ones. I think one of my friends will buy one as he asked me about it last night. All in all it should get me about £100-160 depending on where they get sold.

    I think when I sell the next two pieces I make I'll buy more fabric and continue the production cycle as it's slowly raising my EF which has become my aim as I have a filling needing replacing and my car MOT needs doing before Ocotober.

    Awesome with the sewing! I'm currently sporting my newly made fleece. Boyfriend tried it on and refused to take it off so I have ordered some fabric to make him one, luckily I have loads leftover!
