What DFW small things will you do week 18/05?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

feel like a bit of a charlatan starting the thread!
Things for me for today:
* going to go to the allotment and plant out courgettes, plant beetroot and some potatoes
* sow some basil,salad, aubergines
* do home schooling with madam
* make a pizza with madam today - part of a school task she's been given on measurements
* take dog/madam for a nice walk
* do some work on putting together a cardigan. probably won't finish it today.
* I have 2 zoom groups to go to today. One at 12.30 and another at 7
ok that will keep me busy!DF as at 30/12/16

Hi, first time poster on these particular threads:
My small things for this week:
1. Sort out old DVDs. Done this morning. Got about £50 worth to sent to Ziffit!2.. We noticed due to lockdown our energy bills have been creeping up so dishwasher and washing machine are going to be set to shorter cycles to save water / electricity.3. Temporarily down to a 4 day week at work and also working from home so the time I would normally be commuting / working my 5th day I will be doing some online surveys.4. Meal plans done for all of this week utilising what we already have in the cupboard / fridge / freezer.9 -
Hi gang 👋
Thanks for the kick off DNMS 👍
Welcome @Mahsroh - hope you like it here 😁
Hope everyone is keeping well. There's no place like home, eh? 🏡
Here's me:
Updated YNAB, checking everything is hunky dory
TOMM living room - half an hour of cleaning really does make me feel so much better and my house looks amazing when I keep up with it. 😇
Need to sort a meal plan - really can't be doing with not having 'A Plan' 🤣
Nice wee walk round the park
And just the usual for 'me time' - free kindle book, jigsaw, watching box sets...
ETA - Not quite a meal plan, but tonight is a cheaper-than-chips chickpea curry on jackets with side salad. 👌
Also cancelled this week's veg box so a wee bit saved there 👍9 -
Afterenoon allThanks for starting us off DNMS, like the sound of your plans!I was up before 5, walked the dog, sorted the dishwasher, checked the banks, paid the milkman online and various other bits and pieces, had breakfast - and then went back to bed for a couple of hours. I felt absolutely wiped out, but better when I got up again, so I must have needed it! Not done much since, so am going to write off today with regards to achievements I think. I will however water the garden, pick a handful of broad beans and tidy the fridge. Dinner will be more of the big Mediterranean style chicken stew I made yesterday, with couscous today I think, and extra veg7

Morning, another early start. I do feel tired still though. Yesterday I did not accomplish all I wanted to. I am so low in energy and motivation. So plan for the day is rather limited to:
* Work
* 30 minutes on my excel course
* 30 minutes on my bookkeeping course.
* Check banking and update budget - DONE
* Meals from stores - Roast pork, mash potatoes, veggies.
