    Hi,
I Keep trying to Login to My Lloyds Internet Banking, and It keeps Showing the Account With Money In there, But the staff keep on saying that my Facilities have already been withdrawn - I am Confused by this, as Surely If The Service Wasnt there, they would deactivate Internet Banking Straight away?

So if you can see the money when you log in can you try setting up a payment of say just £5 to another account - perhaps a trusted friend if you don't have a savings account or credit card elsewhere.

I have had the same experience as you OP. Accepted for an account 14/5, and was sent three emails. Transferred £1 as test from my Halifax account. 15/5 received email in the early hours prompting me to choose my lifestyle benefit, which I did. 10 hours later received text saying my application has been unsuccessful. 3 hours after that received text saying I was near my limit and to ensure I had enough cleared funds to cover any payments????? My £1 hasn't been retired as yet either.

I Have Already tried doing this and it says that there is a "restriction on the account - Please Visit your local branch to do this"... its really quite confusing

    Omg same !!!
thats what happened with me. I Opened the account with £10.00 in the Branch and was told it was successful. Next, I recieved a text the same day stating it was unsuccessful. I also recieved a text saying that i had to make sure that i had enough cleared funds to cover any payments !!!
Apparently Lloyds Keep your Money until you visit a branch with Proof Of Identification Documents - Not Quite Sure what to think of this since i have to unnecessarily Travel to Get to My Lloyds Branch . I Swear they dont want any  New Customers thats what everyone keeps saying on the internet and on other forums -

    3) Ive Currently had to Freeze any Direct Debits at the moment as i used the current account switching service... My Old Account was Already Closed, as The Lloyds Account was Initially Declared as being Open.. I Used to Bank With Santander Bank so getting that account Back is Almost Impossible...
I don't understand this - the Current Account Switching Service takes at least seven working days but these can't start until the account is open, so if there's a problem with getting the account opened then the switch should be stopped.  Could you perhaps clarify the chronology, i.e. exact dates for when you applied for the Lloyds account, when this was accepted, when the switch process was started, the agreed switching date and the date(s) on which you were advised the Lloyds account was to be closed?

It's not uncommon for accounts to be opened provisionally and for the more detailed checks to result in the opening process to be terminated, but I don't ever recall hearing of a switch to be completed and then the account immediately being shut down, unless there is some sort of CIFAS issue.

Even if it isn't generally possible to reopen a closed account, what would prevent you from applying to open an account with Santander?

I Applied For the Account On the 4th Of May, And was Informed that Checks had been completed and that i was eligible for the account, However , i did not visit the Branch Until the 11th With Identification , and i was Not Contacted Before that Point To Say i wasnt eligible For the Account ?. The Account was Immediately Shut down , leaving me with Nothing. I Have Checked my CIFAS report and there is Nothing that shows on there. I Have Sent an Appeals Pack to Head Office In Hove, With 3 Bank Statements , A Copy Of My CIFAS report, Photocopies of all the Letters and Correspondance that I Was sent by Lloyds , and The Declination Letter Dated On the 11th. I May also Raise a Complaint, or should i wait until i see the outcome Of the Appeal ?.
I Wouldnt Go Back With Santander, As I was Messed about with my account, and Recieved letters stating that i had to transfer money to another account ( i ignored them all completely). Might Try HSBC or TSB If i cant get things Sorted Out with Lloyds

What did the decline letter say? Sonething like "since you opened your account with us we have completed our final checks and unfortunately we can no longer offer you an account"?

But when did you initiate the seven working day current account switch from Santander and what was the agreed switching date?  I still can't see how this switch went ahead into an account that was effectively already closed, leaving you with nothing, so this may be something to include in a complaint....
