I have now been informed I may be made redundant at the end of June. If this happens, would I have to pay all the WTC back that I've been receiving since being laid off? Or does the WTC just stop if and when I get made redundant?

You will need to report the changes and then you will be given your final award. There may or may not be an overpayment, you'll need to wait for that award.

No, you won't have to pay it back because you were laid off. As long as you tell HMRC when the change becomes permanent then you will get a 4 week run-on of WTC from that point (unless you claim UC , then you will only get the run-on until the day before UC)

I suspect the phrase 'leave' is causing the problem. Explain that you have been told to stay at home because your employer has no work for you due to coronavirus and they have decided not to pay you.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
