Waiting game is right I've had 9 weeks of being messed about long story. Mines a new build empty and right across the road from me. All seems so stressful.Beckiwf said:Thanks, so looks like mixed messages.. I'm natwest but I dont know who they are using, just worried after all this it will fall through. If I knew I had an offer It could take as long as it needs too.
Reading all through the business guidance surveyors come under social distancing / home visits so I cant see why they cant look at empty properties even if it's a leasehold still doing the relevant measures.
so guess it's still a waiting game.0 -

Anyone know who HSBC use for valuations?
sorry for hijacking thread lol0 -
I've emailed the head office in place of my broker and they just tell me this.
We are still for updates from the lenders on how these will continue but currently we are still assuming valuations are suspended and will be updating cases individually once we are notified these have started again.
I hope in the next week or so Natwest will have some plans.

NatWest have updated their intermediary site as follows:
“ 13/05/2020:To align with Covid-19 guidelines set out by the UK Government all physical property valuations and surveys were suspended on 24th March. We have worked since then with valuers to ensure we can safely support as many customers as possible. On Tuesday 12th May Government guidelines were updated with the intention to allow physical inspections of properties in England in line with social distancing guidelines. At this time there are no changes for properties in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
We are currently working with our valuation partners to develop our approach to this updated guidance so that our valuers can undertake physical inspection of properties, safely for the valuer and the home owner.”
