I'll have to give them my bank details then won't I, even though this is supposedly optional.  I cannot go any further with them without doing this.  I've been bitten by utility companies before taking extortionate amounts via DD wrongly, without letting me know this is what they were going to do, hence why I was hoping to speak to someone or email first.  I appreciate they are my current supplier, and i will pay them what i owe them, but I don't see anything wrong with wanting speak to someone first.
I was just saying originally that I was expecting them to contact me, as has happened *every other time* I've moved house and was asking if someone could provide me with a contact email or phone number, as I've not had to deal with an 'online only' utility company before, and only discovered they were one the other day.

I haven't registered with them as they haven't contacted me.  I moved into a property supplied by them so have been expecting them to contact me by letter, like companies normally do.
That's not how it works, I'm, afraid.  You'll end up on an expensive deemed tariff if you don'r read the meter and register with the existing supplier of the property.
However, entering 0 as the account number on this form works for me.

I've just tried this.  I've entered my bank account details but when I click 'Continue' nothing happens.  So how do i contact them to tell them this??  I've tried other contact forms on there but without an account number it does not go through (0 or several 0s do not work).

Thank you.  I put in 0s for the account number and it let me go to the next page.  I then put in my actual bank account details but nothing happens after doing this.
I've just found some paperwork from the old tenant which I wasn't aware of (looking in a random drawer for something else), which states Lumo would contact the new occupier by letter, so I was right to expect them to do this.  I've also uncovered the holy grail - an actual email address!!  lumo-support@lumoapp.co.uk  I'll try this and if no response in a week or so I'll try what you've suggested on the moving house form, or try the account number I've just found.

No problems. Was editing mine at time as I misread what you where saying.

2300000001 appears to be a dummy account set up by Lumo so that new customers with no accounts in their own names, can push details through direct to the account team.  Good Luck.

Ah ok, great. Thanks very much for your help.  I'll let you know how I get on with the email address - it says they should get back to me within 3 days.

I've just thought - we have a smart meter, will this not be a true reflection of the actual cost?  At the moment from what it says, we don't seem to be using much energy.  I've never had a smart meter before so I don't know if there are charges added onto what it says?  It's also in Welsh and I've no idea now to change it!
