Postponed training - refused to cancel and refund - Section 75

It does not say anything about that. They send me a confirmation email and which only mentions cancellation terms. There is a link included for further information on terms and conditions but it is no longer a working link.Deleted_User said:What do the terms say about unavoidable delays?0 -
Must be a small dwelling if can't do yoga in it.
Could be interesting if they contest it on the grounds it is still available, only delayed.Life in the slow lane0 -
I totally agree with the advice
"Chargeback for non-supply."
Contact your card company saying you are being denied a refund on a service that wasn't delivered.
To contest the Chargeback they need to show evidence, I can't see what evidence there is.

That’s what they claimed the first time when they offered the online practises. They cannot offer discount because they are “delivering” the training. Yes, they are but they are changing the conditions and the dates and also they did not even asked me if I agree on the selected days. I have become unemployed and it is a difficult time to stay and wait for some day to do that training. Moreover it is £2500 in the air, I can’t Access my money and I don’t have the training.born_again said:Must be a small dwelling if can't do yoga in it.

When requesting a Chargeback, make it clear that you can not rearrange the dates just to suit them.
You wanted certain dates, and they failed to provide those dates, so have failed to delivery the service paid from.
Normally you get the money returned straight away

Hi, I have paid with credit card and made a claim under section 75. I hope That the same applies to it.Life__Goes__On said:When requesting a Chargeback, make it clear that you can not rearrange the dates just to suit them.

They sent me this email. But I believe that you are right, because they changed the date not informing me and I did not agree, so I should have some consumer rights. They already planned the days for the training without informing me and this is ridiculous. And this one week I can do the training before flying away is a joke. How about the other 10 days if the training, as I did not paid for half a course.
“ We reserve the right to change the dates of the training according to our terms and conditions. Due to a higher power we had to postpone the training, and not due to our fault. Therefore we are unable to issue refunds. You can still travel on the 13th of June, the first part of the training is from the 1st till the 7th of June.Alternatively you may do the online training and in that case we will refund you the £1000 difference.”
i was told by the credit cart team that it will take from 6 to 8 weeks for the issue to be resolved and the training is about to happen on 1st of June apparently.
thanks for the advice!0 -
I'm surprised at the credit card company starting a S75 before a Chargeback, as Chargeback would be quicker, and no risk to credit card company.aniseymenova said:

Just a last thing to ask. Should I continue the communication with the school director? I haven’t replied to the last email but I already opened the dispute and I think it is better to leave it to the credit card team.Life__Goes__On said:

I would just let it play out with your card company, you tried to sort it out with the instructor but that's failed.aniseymenova said:

EDIT OR: you could email them saying to have contacted you credit card company and to save them additional charges from their bank, you are still willing to take a full refund and once received you will cancel any dispute with the card company.
