Postponed training - refused to cancel and refund - Section 75

Hi, I have payed for a yoga teacher training to start on 29th of March and last for a few weekends until May and then obviously it was postponed. First they offer to do it online and I said I can't do it, as I don't have available space at home. Anyway then they decided to postpone until early May but now again it is still postponed and not having a clue until when. Before I asked for a refund - they said it is not possible because they are providing the service. But how do I know when this will happen?
Can I make a claim under Section 75?
Thank you and apologize for long post.

What do the terms say about unavoidable delays?

I can not see a reason for not refunded you.
You had a contracted start date,   as that date couldn't happen you would have to agree another date, at the moment this seems impossible.
Did you pay the trainer direct?

You would be looking at a chargeback for non receipt of services. I would very much doubt that a yoga lesson would be £100 +

I have little doubt it's over £100 reading the OP  opening post.

And TBH, having re read the post to see if I missed any amounts. It is the OP that is saying they want to cancel. So that rules out S75 on that basis & a chargeback.

We must be reading different posts.
The OP paid to go to yoga classes from 29th March. (and stated OP can't do it at home)
The yoga teacher legally had to cancel this as it would have been unlawful for the yoga teacher to take a class even one-on-one

So though no fault of the yoga teacher  the teacher had to break the contract.
    So Chargeback, or S75
    (Chargeback is better)

yes fairly straightforward charge back for lessons not provided
  • Hi everyone, thanks for the replies.
The training costed me £2100 + £400 for a week of food and accommodation for a week. I payed directly through the website. I don’t have invoice, I only have emails with them and the transaction with my credit card.
I already contacted the credit card company and they told me fill a form and to sent it to them. It will take 6 to 8 weeks for the outcome.
I was just wondering if I have the right to ask for a refund, since the company did not cancel the service, but they just postponed it and still it is not clear until when.
