But I can’t if I’m busy, arrrrrgh!
I don’t choose to work stupid hours, there isn’t even an online chat option!0 -
I’m genuinely not being a covid dodger!I’m genuinely trying to clear my debts
however due to the situation, many previous options no longer exist 😞0 -
You are busy in your lunch half hour? Is it a shop you run yourself and you therefore dont give yourself half an hour? If not, tell him or her you are taking your lawful half hour off the premises, go outside and ring them.reallyshouldnotwearjods said:But I can’t if I’m busy, arrrrrgh!

There is no other option here other than sending an email which may not be looked at for weeks.0 -
Half an hour 😂😂
reality of working in small reatail?
yeah sorry wait 30 mins for your:
scratchcard
post office
wine
lawful, correct
customer acceptable, no
contrary to belief reality/law is not acceptable by the general public, they want it and wanted it yesterday
as I mentioned would I have opened myself up for such a public slaying?

So you have access to the app so you could have paid that way by clicking the payment button at the bottom then selecting amount you wanted to pay then if you don’t have a debit card attached to your account it lets you add one. It would have taken a few minutes to do. So there was no excuse to say you couldn’t pay as you just couldn’t be bothered.reallyshouldnotwearjods said:
Payment due by Thursday, however I wasn’t aware until I received the text the day after, £12 charge already added?
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:1 -
OP - did the payment link not work on the app?Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. Like choking....0

I don't even think they tried paying via the app.

I think you've misinterpreted this text - I believe it's a reminder, effectively saying that there had been a payment due the previous day (as indicated on the app), rather than a first notification of a statement being generated (which they presumably don't notify by text). The statement would presumably have been generated last month, even if you weren't looking out for it after thinking you'd settled in full.reallyshouldnotwearjods said:
As you can see, the only text message I received Friday
Chances are that they'd already added the £12 late payment charge to your account by the time they texted but as a new charge it's not due immediately, unlike the £5.38, i.e. even if you'd paid £5.38 on the Friday you'd still have incurred the £12.
I appreciate that this doesn't actually solve your problem, but hopefully it clarifies that Capital One didn't do anything wrong, and so it would be a waste of your time and effort to try to make a case that their unavailability on a Sunday (several days after the due date) is relevant. However, if you ask nicely (rather than going in all guns blazing making accusations) they may be prepared to waive the charge....0 -
She cant ask, apparently her boss doesnt give her a lunch break 🤷♂️0
