All sounding good, best of luck on your debt free journey 🙂1

£160 to bank tomorrow in the Halifax, combination of birthday £ and savings I have in the house. Excited to get this in the bank and adjust my total. Worked out today I should have my mortgage deposit saved by dec 2021 and be starting to look at houses around this time in 2022.0

Debt update total £3051.25
House Deposit savings £3028.000 -
Have decided to set myself a target of £10000 to save for a mortgage this year. 2021 will also be £10000. Hoping to get this into savings ASAP so that I can allocate some savings into next years savings target to get a head start.Threat of furlough and redundancies still in the background. But just focusing on saving and paying off debt. My Cc debts are the only ones with any interest so I’m focusing on them and the satsuma which I want closed on my credit file0

Quick update, mortgage savings at £3112 so I’ve saved 31.23 % of what I’ve set as my target for this year. Hoping to go over so 2021 is easier and i figure il want more for spending next year when hopefully things are a bit more normal.I’m being forced into using up some annual leave, next four Fridays and 6 days in July.Though I’d rather be working and save the hols for another time I will save on petrol. Thinking about the week off I’m going to put some £ aside for that so I’m not compromising savings. Hoping TX Max might be open by then. Have £30 set aside. This will be my holiday this year so whatever I do I think it’s important to have some money to play with that week.Healthier eating is going well. First week and 5.5 lbs down. Just have to remain focused and keep tracking, I can do this.0

Still resisting a takeaway, have told myself I can get one when I get into the next stone bracket. Have had to review my target for this years savings as I’ve realised I’m not going to do it. Currently saving a minimum of £500 into the mortgage pot so I’m not going to make it. I do save for a few other things too, Xmas and holidays, car work. So target for the mortgage pot this year is now 8k. See no reason to not achieve that. Current mortgage saving pot stands at £3577. Hoping to have 20k by the end of next year but that will depend on my credit cards being paid off by the end of this year and the satsuma gone and my pay rise coming through which is now unlikely in the current climate.0

Struggling this week to find a balance between spending and saving. Must tot up my figures over the weekend to see where I am and regain a bit of motivation0

Have you tried a fake away instead of getting a takeaway, lots of places have really good recipes, and if you want it to feel more like a takeaway you could always cook it on a day when you're cooking something else and keep it for the next day or freeze it 😁1

Thanks Blue Eyed Girl, yes although it’s usually just a curry so maybe time to try something else. Think it’s more the Covid Blues than anything else which will pass. Weather is horrible here today, going to clear out my fridge see what’s there to be used and head out for some fruit later. Maybe make a nice stir fry for tea and get some healthy lunches planned for work during the week.0

Took myself off for a nice drive yesterday to a town by the sea that I’ve not been to since lockdown. Was nice to get a change of scenery. Last night I worked out that I’ll def make my target of 8k mortgage savings this year with my automated savings. I’d love to go over so I can make headway into 2021s 8k saving. Think I’m just struggling with patience .....I’m not the most patient of people but it will be worth it in the end and I’m already planning what else I can save for when I’m done with the mortgage/fees/ fixtures and furnishings...... I will def be easing up a bit though and allowing myself a bit more fun £ for socialising and holidays etc0
