I'd be gutted if I was trying to sell a 2nd hand one on Ebay for more than RRP, and it had no bids....and if they live in Belfast there is NO WAY it will reach the mainland UK by xmas by post now

I was getting a little worried, I ordered one of the Dixon's bundles on Monday (with the free delivery code too of course) and thought that was that, but on reading another forum heard some horror stories about Dixons accepting the order only to e-mail you 5 days later saying they actually had no stock.

My order just said in progress until today when I finally got a dispatch e-mail with my courier dispatch code !! Will be with me tomorrow !! :rotfl:

For any Scottish folks close to Ayrshire, I spotted stacks of Wii consoles at the new Argos Extra in the retail park off East Road, Irvine. They had several of each option all bundles but reasonably priced from £214 with sport pack and one game upwards depending on how many games you want to, think dearest bundle was 270ish with three games.

No basic £179 packs though at my time of visit (1930).

shops in bradford have loads of stock of wiis, available at game, gamestation, hmv, zavvi and whsmith today.

hope this helps as defo a trip to bradford if desperate to get one.

Wii's were selling out 3 months ago, but you could certainly still get them. The shops knew they were in short supply but did nothing to stop multi unit buying, after all they don't care as they get the same profit whether they sell 10 to 10 different people, or sell 10 to one person.

The shop I got got my main supply from had a strict instruction from HQ of one per customer.... the staff translated this into one per transaction. Depending who was serving you meant you could buy one per transaction, or you buy one, put in car, buy another, put in car etc.

With amazon you could one click to your CC limit until recently. The shortage was caused by people buying stock to flog on ebay, me included.

Some ebayers are now having their fingers burnt. But not as much as the ebayers who bought crap tickets for the Spice Girls concerts:rotfl: , now some of them really do have burnt fingers

Wii's in stock in Middleton Shopping Centre Manchester today. Didn't clock what the shop was called but you can't miss it.

If it helps anyone, they had stock of wii consoles on their own and with bundles at Argos, Castlepoint,Bournemouth last night.Won't be there much longer,though they had been there all day yesterday!!!
