From what i have seen most people on this board offering Wii's have been because they were so hard to get hold of a number of friends and family were recruited to get them and they ended up with 1 that they didn't need. They were then offered on here out of people's kindness so that MSEers could get one at cost in time for Christmas. Don't judge everyone by your standards, there are some nice people out there.

Thats exactly what happened with the one I offered. Most people on this board know that I even got a few members on here their wiis. Check my postings. I even paid for a few myself first and had them delivered to their addresses and they paid me by paypal. I was buying as many as I could to help people on here and friends and family. I have sold all mine for rrp. Just thought I would help someone else out before sending it back. Karen

How can you compare building society carpet bagging !! with greedy oiks trying to make money out of little timmys parents ?? society gone mad:confused:

This forum makes me laugh sometimes as the hypocracy....

If you were a carpet-bagger of a building society you would be appluaded and everyone would want to know the next place they could successfully do it. If you try to do it with a Wii you are suddenly the scum of the earth.

This is a money saving forum where everyone tries to get as much as possible for as little as possible. So what is wrong with buying 5 Nintendo Wii, selling four for a decent profit to someone prepared to pay the price, and then keeping the fifth one yourself which becomes free as it's paid for by the profit on the other 4 ? To me that is almost perfect money saving.

And that is what I did about a month ago, so I'm very happy with my money saving

seriously, i don't know how you can be so comfortable knowing you have ripped people off. don't try and wrap it up with glitter and ribbons - you're ripping people off and that's that.

    sorry for going off topic

By that logic, everybody who trades something is ripping people off.

I sell at a fixed price. The person buying has the informed choice whether to buy or not. If they feel it is a rip off they won't buy it and will buy it elsewhere. If they are comfortable with the price they buy it.

They are paying for my time and effort to acquire and sell it, the financial risk I take (the value can always go up or down), and the cost of financing it in the first place to name a few things that they pay for. If they wanted to buy it for the RRP then they could have done exactly the same as me to get it.

The same applies for anything you buy.

Easily, if some greedy oik places £500 in a building society account to earn a fast buck and dilute the share of the sale proceeds that would otherwise have gone to the genuine long standing investor like little Timmy's parents.

    :D

thats nonsense. if you hadn't bought 5 Wii's that you didn't need, there would have been 5 available to buy at the RRP. it's sly and you are no better than a ticket tout IMO.

I call it genuine money saving myself :D The profit went into my kids so I'm very happy.

And who would have bought them if it wasn't me, 99% likely to have been someone else who would have done the same.

It was only 4 I didn't need anyway as I kept one, and 2 were German so added to the UK stock :p
