HMV, WH Smith and Virgin/Zavvi seem the places to check out first on the high street as they don't seem to be forcing people into bundles and I've heard of people walking into a store and buying a couple relatively easily :)

Zavvi are only selling them in £350 bundles, The bundles is not bad but still a bundle anyway

Exactly. Keep your stock checker running but Amazon is the one to watch and refresh you will bag one there, but they go fast so you cannot rely on the checker to alert you within time as it only checks every sixty seconds, they rarely last that long.

Once you get an alert like the one at 8.30 stay with Amazon and keep refreshing. If you get one in your basket but don't make it to checkout in time, simply return to your basket and keep clicking on "move to basket" button until it pops in then buy buy buy as the man says.

I like the quote on yesterday's news from "major electrical retailers" that they are protecting the genuine buyer from scammers by packaging their units in bundles. :rotfl: :rotfl: Yeah right!

Amazon is about the only supplier left making stand alone consoles available at retail price, any of the other retailers that are supplying them are adding a premium. I ordered one from Marshall Ward and the cheeky b@stards sent me an email saying that they had gone out of stock at that price but they could let me have one at £199.99 for basic, and if I did not cancel they would send it automatically and charge my card the higher rate.

• Just ordered astandard Wii for 259.99 by mistake via amazon 1 click. I have emailed both amazon & the retailer straight away stating my mistake.Am I officially obliged to buy this item? they have obviously got my credit card details & could just charge & send it out.

go into your orders and there is a button to cancel the order - do it within 90 minutes - I did the same thing a few days ago - very easily done :o

• Can't find any cancel button when viewing my orders, only option I have is to contact seller or Amazon!
• try going into current orders then to the right of the order is a box that you can tick to change the order - it takes you to another page where you can cancel the order with a drop down box for reason
