Hiya im desperate for a Wii but my mum and dad say they can only afford the £179.99 does anyone know when stock is likely to come in next? or if they might put more on amazon tonight?0

i might be off to munich for a job interview before xmas so i'll get a load of wii play from there
seriously, what's the rrp for wii play is it about £30? and if i get this do i need an extra nunchuck also?
i don't mind paying £199 for the wii with a game worth £20 or so no matter how poor the game might be [i actually work for a video games company so can get a few games wink wink] but i am not going to be ripped off!
thanks again for the help in this thread!0 -

Does anybody have any idea of the timescale for nintendo to ship goods over to the UK?
I have family who get their stock for their business from china and it takes at least 28 days for their containers to ship, go through customs checks and be received.
If Wii's are the same.... which I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I heard this last year as their reason for a shortage the latest blast of deliveries could well be the last we'll see before christmas now. Meaning ebay will be the only option for people who are desperate.
Last year my mum ended up waiting it out thinking january would see loads of stock, she didnt get one till Mid feb.
I thought that.... the slow boat from China etc.... but apparently they are actually flying them in... maybe urban miff, but it has been published somewhere. They might not be doing that in the future, but they have maxed it out in the UK for sure, and its probably worth £2 per unit more to fly them in.
I don't actually think there will be much more coming in past next week, they must have gone ballistic trying to produce them to match their artificially created demand...so its holdays all round at Nintendo!!!0 -

Thing about business is you need to make sure that you are not living in your own imaginery dream world, and see things for what they really are. If you think that selling a Wii on e-bay for £225 is good business, after paying retail price for them ... then you are MAD.
Forget the "profit" of £10 (after fees), work out how much it really costs you - time, packing, travel etc... Remember to think how much time you spend buying as well as selling if you are in the "Business"
But if you are a 12 year old... well done, youre doing well.
And guess who is a bitter loser who lives up to their name?
I've made over £400 from Wii's (and they are very much a side line "bonus" for me) and I have spent about 2 hours actually actively handling the wii, listing it, picking it up from Argos or packing it (I mean how long do you think that actually takes?) Sooo thats about £200 per hour less any tax that the HMRC will nab. How many business have you worked in that will give you that kind of return on side line? Not many.
I bet you are a wage slave, because you sound like one, am I right? Spend all day talking good business like you know all about it whilst still working for "the man" :rotfl:0 -

Is it right though that so many people are making money out of these poor sods who just want to make their kids happy? I think it smacks of exploitation myself.0
