  • Out of curiosity, is it worth getting games from the continent? Will they play in English like a normal UK game? Will the boxes be in the country's language? Are they cheaper?

Yes, you can get them from amazon.de, or amazon.fr, but the £=EUR rate is well balanced.... or the price is.

If they are PAL, they work on UK games - english is a universal langauge, so it is on all EU games.

You just need to shop around, Woolies, Argos, Amazon (all of), Tesco all seem to have different prices for different games, so pick the ones you want, and pick the best deal, but be careful to group as many items from the same vendor to minimise postage..

    Good luck

Will they play in English like a normal UK game? Yes if that is the consoles default language.

Will the boxes be in the country's language? Oui, bien sur mon ami.

Are they cheaper? Not much difference, but you may snag a bargain in a hypermarket. [/quote]

Looking at the completed listings a good few have sold for under £200. Also quite a few have had 0 bids. I even noticed a couple that started a 99p with no bids! I don't get how some go for £260. Shill bidding or someone getting carried away when bidding I suppose, but there are so many to choose from they could take their pick and get it for a more realistic price. Every day whne I check ebay there are over 6000 for sale with a couple of days of 8000-9000.

Read the listings carefully. If they sell for silly money or dont sell there is usually a reason - e.g. from Germany, bad feedback or terrible listing.

I've just called CS after seeing your message, mine is still showing as on route but they have confirmed that it was delivered to store at lunchtime. Give the store a call or call CS again, the people I've spoken to have been really helpful. I guess I'll be the first one to try and get the instore offer game, will keep everyone posted.

Can you tell me the number. I have rang my local store a few times today going through the options to number 4 then 8 but no-one answers. Can't pick it up until tomorrow but want to know its there as there could be little t-leaves about. Thanks

ITS OK I HAVE FOUND IT NOW JUST A BIT LATE TO CONTACT THEM

richto..can you give me a hint about where to find a decent reliable courier for a fiver...& insurance as an option for any higher priced sales? (Cheapest I could get would be £12)

Hi, get a courier account and ship 50+ parcels a day...

You can get closer to it though.

    £10.50 for DHL from here:

    http://www.interparcel.com/quote/courier-quote2.php

    Or £6.85 here

Very true when you read the detail some withdraw them before the auction finishes and the lower priced ones are normally used ones.
  • Thanks richto. :)

I'm only a lowly 400ish feedback occassional seller..but it could be useful on occassions.

Yeah - I feel sorry for all the poor kids trying to make a profit when they post via the Post Office at £20 for Special Delivery. Such a rip off.

What many buyers dont understand is that high postage prices are not an attempt to rip them off. Only to rip eBay off...As Final Value fees dont apply to P&P.

I notice that eBay are planning to drop anyone with a P&P price feedback of 3.9 or less to the bottom of the search results.

I charge really high P&P on one of my largest accounts and my P&P feedback is still 4.3 so I cant see its going to make a difference.
