I'm so P***ed off with my brother. It was his idea to get a wii for my sister for christmas, but I ended up being the one to have to find one. I've spent god knows how many hours on the net and traipsing the shops looking for one. I finally get one off the John Lewis website after 2 weeks of looking, for £191 - including Super Mario Paper and now he's annoyed at me because it was more than £180. I don't think he gets how bloody difficult it was to nab a wii.

I know this is a bit off topic, but i needed to vent! (christmas is such a stressful time!!)

Just make sure you spend £11 less on his pressie:rotfl:

I dont need to search. I have sold well over 100 and the best time to end an auction for the highest price is Sunday evening.

Not in my experience. Let me correct that. Normally yes, sunday evening is best, but for some reason not with Wii's in the past three weeks. Perhaps too many auctions ending at those times.
Demand is still far in excess of supply. I was selling Wiis are £245 + £25P&P a few weeks ago as fast as I could get them delivered. Now they go for £260 + £25 P&P.

£260? A quick scan of completed items tonight shows an average price of £225-230. Yes some did sell for £280, but some also sold for £180. Price I've quoted is pre P&P

Prices have dropped. November saw the number of consoles easily treble, I sold the majority of mine in October before all the press reports and also before the imports flooded ebay
  • I've just looked at some auctions... why do people stick a Wii on a 10 day auction starting at 99p? I mean 10 days? What's the point:confused: :rotfl:
