called play.com this morning as i ordered 2 whites DS's at lunch yesterday - still saying 'order taken'
apparently they hav'ent got any and dont know when they'll get any .

I spoke to them yesterday after ordering two for christmas presents for a friend and running into billing issues. The guy I spoke to seemed very surprised that I'd ordered one that morning as he said "we haven't had any in for ages, and we won't have any before January". I noticed you couldn't get to the product via the site search (or I couldn't anyway) so think it was a glitch. Sorry to break it to you but I really don't think anyone who ordered one of these is going to get them. Good luck hunting though.

I must've been very lucky. Mine was posted from Play...but it's for my Mum (old dear needs to train her brain...) but now I've decided I want one. So will be trawling t'internet today!

Personally I had never heard of this website until yesterday so I have opted to buy elsewhere *managed to snatch one on Amazon last night* but thought I'd post this just incase.

You can pay using Paypal which I would strongly advise, just incase you need to raise a dispute, you are covered for up to £500 I think.

Seems they have some Wii consoles instock too!

You ordered from play this morning? Which deal was this? The deal on offer yesterday (£115 including protection pack) hasn't been available on the site since as far as I was aware?

paypal only offer protection for ebay, or at least that was the case last time i used paypal to buy from a retailer

Hmmm I got as far as checkout and decided to ring them to confirm they had stock. The number goes through to what sounds like a mobile answerphone. I'm a bit nervous about completing my order, might skip this one. Anyone used this company before?
