OP, you could have just typed in natwest.com or natwest.co.uk in your browser's URL window. Its not rocket science...
You know I genuinely never thought of that, doh!  Some people eh? ....
And doesn't that just sum up this whole thread

My default browser page is Google
That's not really a good idea unless nearly all your browsing starts with looking for a page you've never visited before.  Use Bookmarks/favorites to store all your regularly visited pages, and get there faster, more securely, and without informing Google of your browsing habits.
    Other search engines are available.

Verisign- the the web address goes green if tthe security certificate matches.

That's very browser-dependent. Each browser will have its own way of indicating that the certificate was successfully validated.

Thanks for that - I do know how to google.
I raised the question because you seemed sure that a 'green verisign' was a sure way of being sure you're on the right site.
This is not the case - it depends very much on your system and your browser.
So suggesting people look for it as a check is misleading people - its absence is not a problem if you're using a browser that doesn't use that system.
For instance Chrome doesn't do this on my Win10 machine, neither does Opera.
If you want to check you could, er, google it.

If you have the Natwest app, why did you then use a browser on your iPhone to make a payment?
