NatWest online banking, worrying message

I usually use my iPhone app to check my NatWest bank accounts and move money around, but as I was sat at my computer I thought I would pay my friend what I owe her using the online banking facility. The first hit on Google when I put in NatWest came up with a message "This Connection Is Not Private. This website may be impersonating "personal.natwest.com" to steal your personal or financial information. You should go back to the previous page." So I scrolled down to another link on Google, which appeared genuine and let me log in using my 10 digit reference number and my online banking PIN.
All went well and I made the payment, during which they text to my phone a six digit code that I had to enter to proceed. Everything seemed straightforward until I clicked on Log Out, when I got another warning message saying the same as the first one I quoted above.
Their online chat is just a bot now and never understands the question, so no help there. Surely if it wasn't genuine it wouldn't know my phone number? All my accounts were showing correct information when I checked before logging out, so I am puzzled by this warning message. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried?

Why are you using google?
Just hit the main natwest page and take it from there.
But browsers have been known to throw up errors, as some banks use more than one server for online banking.Life in the slow lane3 -
I should use a iMac instead of windows m.-1

Sorry, don't understand. My default browser page is Google and I don't have a saved NatWest "app" on the MacBook, so how else would I find "the main natwest page"? Anyway thanks for your reply, I will try not to worry and hope it's just a server blip.Used to be Bogof_Babe. It did need updating!0

If you haven't saved the NatWest page as a favourite you can just type in www.nwolb.com or www.natwest.comBogof_OAP said:Sorry, don't understand. Good for you, but that's where we differ, I would never use anything from the half-eaten fruit company. Enjoy your apple, lolnicetomeetyou said:I should use a iMac instead of windows m.

Okay. As long as the payment is showing in your online banking or app you'll be fine.Bogof_OAP said:
Won't know until the end of the month, she doesn't do online banking and has paper statements. Normally she would check at an ATM but even that's a bit tricky nowadays.RG2015 said:Has your friend received the payment?1
