In that case, I apologize for the misunderstanding.2

Does the payment show as gone from your phone app?Have you regularly scanned your pc for virus infections? There is a Very small chance that if you haven’t - you might have something nasty lurking on your hard drive.1

Do you have the option to change passwords via the app? You might consider doing this if you’re in any way worried.0

I have checked my accounts today (twice!) and they appear to be in order. The entry for my payment to my friend is on there, luckily it was the second time I paid her (reimbursement for a cancelled trip we were having that I paid for the hotel and train tickets and she had paid me back), so I already had her set up as a payee, and the system already knew her sort code and account number (different bank to mine).
I think it is okay, but was just surprised at the warning message from what is apparently a valid website link. Especially as every time I open my NatWest phone app these days there's a full page warning about fraud, which you can't permanently dismiss only close. They are obviously very keen to cover themselves in case people do get caught out, which is why I was perhaps more anxious than usual.

Whether you're using a Windows Mac OS, Linux, Sun Sparc, or BeOS operating system, using a search engine to search for your bank and clicking one of the search results is the high road to phishing.
Literally, never, ever do this no matter what device you're using.
Type the URL which you know to be correct for the bank into the web browsers address bar and browse straight to their website.
If you don't know what this means, then don't do online banking.2 -
...and look for the green verisign indication.0

Most likely, this was just an error that meant your browser struggled to verify the security certificate. It could also have been a phishing link you clicked on.
But, there are more sinister possibilities, for example malware can hijack your browser, causing it to open web pages that are different to the ones you think you are opening (even if you type the address in). There are also examples of people spoofing bank sites that then input your details into the real site, so even if the transaction went through, that's not absolute proof you were on the right site or your details weren't being stolen
These kind of attacks are rare but they exist. I would double check your computer for malware and check your computer and browser are up to date - although that's just general security advice for everyone online banking. I don't think I'd change a password because of a single error, but then again it can never hurt and maybe it was due an update anyway?
Basically, in general no need to panic but these warning messages exist for a reason, so it's good to take note of them.
