Letters are certainly arriving promptly I couldn't say if the service is daily as have never had post everyday - its probably every other day on average and as our posties are speedy I would have to watch like a hawk to see if they are out on the days there is nothing for me. Luckily I still have better things to do!

I'm a postie and it's ridiculous what we are doing at the moment, the CEO doesn't give a damn about the workforce it's all about profit. Many of our offices are so small it's hard to social distance yourself.
Has the CEO of the post office ever cared about the staff? They were quite happy to send some of there staff go to prison for fraud when they knew it was there fault.
Although granted as for social distance in a small office not really sure what they can do about that.
Well lets start with its the CEO of Royal Mail, not Post Office.
You say what can they do?
Well how about trying at least? you can split staff start times, staff working different days etc.
RM has been very quick to capitalise on the PR element of this but light on action.
It took union action to get them to accept removing 2 in a van for gods sake. This is obvious stuff.

Thanks everyone. Saw a postman today and was told next delivery would be Monday if we’re lucky. Living in Greater London , it appears we may get 2 letter deliveries a week. Not good.
Today is Bank Holiday and tomorrow there is no letter post (parcels and Tracked unaffected) so he was pretty correct.

My postman spends more time in fancy dress updating facebook than anything else.  The old dears love it, i would rather just have my mail but each to their own

  • I live in Northern Ireland and haven't had any letters since lockdown. Parcel deliveries have been fine. My aunt sent a letter and a parcel together last week, got the parcel but no sign of the letter.

RM decide what gets/doesnt get delivered and have a blanket lock down on overtime.
So do you expect them to work for free? RM are busy lapping it up and playing the PR game. 'Thumbs up for posties' in public and middle finger to everything but profit behind the scenes.

Use your loaf - today (8th) is a Bank Holiday and Royal Mail announced last week that there'll be no letter deliveries on a Saturday :)

    Perfectly normal.

Where did i say they should be working for free?  Perhaps you could point that out?  What I said is my postman spends more time in fancy dress updating facebook.
To be clear he is doing that in work time, as are several posties in the area.  They are still delivering but would get twice as much delivered in their paid hours if they weren't stopping for photo's every few minutes.
